Well I wanted to test out the donation feature, so I hooked in my paypal email to BukkitDev.
One thing I can't help but notice is the lack of support for donating in different currencies.

    Anyone else agree?

Wait, so someone can't donate to a Canadian Paypal hosted button if they are only using US dollars in their account? (I have no idea how this works) :S

They are currently able to donate in USD. Though it does convert it for you when you pay. It's annoying because if you want to donate, say 1GBP, you need to convert it first.

I was under the impression that if you had non-US in your account it would auto-convert when you went to checkout (with a small conversion-rate cut)

I just donated ¥ 500 to Bukkit for shits and giggles, and because it looks like a lot.

Send money to Bukkit as a gift instead of a regular transaction.

I think PayPal auto converts for certain currencies. I can pay my hosting company USD from my NZD account, but when I paid for Minecraft pre-alpha, I had to add NZD to my account, then convert that to EUR actually in PayPal.

Unfortunately PayPal doesn't do this. I remember paying for my Minecraft account in euros way back when

5 euro is worth more than USD :~(

Its unfortunate there's no 'donate in your currency!' option

I personally don't see the problem, there's thousands of currency converters online

Ease of use. In either case, I'm not going to go back and say you have to donate X amount in YOUR currency - just doesn't seem right.

Hell, the Zimbabwean dollar is worth almost 5 times less than the yen. It's like, 376 ZWD to 1 USD.
    Donate 10,000 ZWD - That's only $26.50 USD xD
