    Yep, I'm back today. Got some other work to do Sat-Sun but I'll do some today. Busy week ahead to catch up with what I have missed.
     
  9. Pls could you add support for mChat prefixes and/or groups?

    The title would just modify the Display Name, so it would be displayed against the mChat prefix.

    will i be able to retain my stats from mcstats3?
    because it works fine as it is with 1.9 build

    also, why wouldnt you allow offline mode?
    couldnt see why somone would want to use somone elses database :confused:

    just make it so theres a server title that gets read from the server.properties if you're that worried bout it

    Someone could log in as a different person and, I guess start boosting for them. Security measure. Local stats should remain compatible.

    @RROD any chance we could get this working together with SpaceBukkit? We are looking for a statistics solution :)

    Hmm. I'd love to see it in SpaceBukkit. What was the problem was with MCStats was a possibily huge database, no server to host it on, and no secure means of sending the data.
    What did work ok was Local Stats - which wasn't implemented in MCS4, yet.
    I'd be happy to work with you on SpaceBukkit, doing the stats, but I might not find the time.
    Or, you can go ahead without me - you can use code from MCStats with my permission.
    It's up to you.

    Well, databases...using a MySql one could get a bit complicated as SpaceBukkit itself uses MySQL on a webserver, so why use two?
    Local stats seem to be the right choice for me. What Data formats did you implement?
    I'll create a converstation and add our java dev, so we can figure something out :)

    @Antariano : I had only managed to begin on Global stats, letalone Local.
    The plan was for Global to contact our Server via HTTP Socket, where we would process it into our MySQL Database. Stops people from decompiling our code to find out the MySQL Password.

    For local, I was going use the same methods used in MCStats3, which was writing to a file each time. Not the best, I'm sure.

    First of all, slow. I'm talking it over with the SpaceBukkit team.
    Secondly, there's a bunch of stuff I can't get my head around - and I'm losing my motivation.

    Don't! so make your own new Stats plugins with your own core ;).

    That's what MCStats4 is, just got Spacebukkit support.

    Ok, the SpaceBukkit stuff is almost complete. Just a few bugs when writing the JSON file. Firstly it's not valid json.

    Thinking about how I'll launch this, there will be two versions. One for SpaceBukkit, one without. Both or one have global stats that can be toggled. Global stats will have to wait till MCStats5.

    It's returned. I plan to launch MCStats4 by the end of this week, or the beginning of next. We have our Global Stats Server at the ready to accept incoming servers. Coding is at approx. 60% done. All major issues are resolved. I will not be using SpaceBukkit to handle our stats, instead I've got my own solution. Sorry, Antariano.

    We've hit Alpha! You can now download the plugin via this link.

    Note: The website will not be up until Beta. However, we are collecting stats!
