Discussion in 'Archived: Plugin Releases' started by lmc, Aug 16, 2011.

Over 100,000 servers have used Buycraft over the last 2 years.
What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?
Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!
How will my players use Buycraft?
After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership.
What can I sell to my users, and how?
Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. All these different options will take the worry out of funding your Minecraft server.
Some of the awesome features available:
    • Create donation packages which can reward your players with anything you imagine.
    • Setup advanced packages for memberships ranks, with support for automatic Paypal subscriptions.
    • Many Payment gateways supported! (Paypal, Stripe, Google Wallet, Paymentwall, 2Checkout, Onebip, Paygol, Payza, and Coinbase.)
    • Coupon codes to offer discounts to your players.
    • Run promotional sales to gain attention to certain donation packages.
    • Cumulative ranking to enable your players to upgrade their ranks.
    • Custom variables to offer advanced customisation of your packages.
    • Detailed donation statistics to see how well your server is performing.
    • Multiple webstores per account, with the ability to create sub accounts for your other moderators/administrators on your server.
    • Advanced fraud protection to prevent chargebacks.
    • Webstores available in over 8 languages.
    • You can change your webstore theme and even integrate it into your own website.
    • Everything is hosted by us, resulting in a hassle free and inexpensive way to run your own webstore! The Buycraft platform is updated regularly with many new features added each month.

Ye, embedable (just HTML/PHP or whatever). Would be awesome =D

  3. Have you already claimed it before? If you havent, then you havent correctly set the plugin up. Make sure to follow everything in the plugin correctly.

Would be something just like an iframe or something. Currently im working on an API for developers to use :)

LMC: I heard you are working on making this MCMA compatible? If that's true, any ETA? I having to do everything manually until then - and I'd say, almost every single largescale server is going to use MCMA.

  5. Sorry but what is MCMA? Is that McMyAdmin? Im confused to why it isnt working with McMyAdmin

The plugin is setted up as it should. I have putted in the API key, and everything is running fine in the console.
What is the problem? What does "Claim a package" mean and how do i do that?

  7. Watch the tutorial videos otherwise your not going to have a clue about anything.

The creator said you are working on a McMyAdmin integration. If you remember from a week ago or so post, you cant use the permissions system to promote someone. You have to use /addmemeber and for some reason, it doesn't work via the console (how buycraft sends it out). I'm not sure why he can't / won't allow it to be a console command, but until one of you "fixes" it, we cant utilize a large portion of this plugin (adding users to groups).

edit: If you can make it work, i will gather up a large donation from my server staff.. we are losing out on donations because of this. We charged or system for this awesome plugin only to find out we are missing one key part heh. I know it's not your fault... but its going to be easier to change on your end if possible..

  9. Right, could you provide me with the link for the MCMA's site/contact details? Ill see what I can do and possibly release a MCMA compat version of Buycraft.

PhonicUK is the creator. It has over 5000 live premium servers currently running and 14 major hosting providers (resellers) use it to host minecraft.

  11. Hey guys, this is an example of how you would make use of the upcoming buycraft API for alerting you of new payments.

    commands:

        usage: /<command> <Packages, Claim, Page <ID>, or a package ID>
        aliases: [donate, purchase]
      ec:
        usage: /<command>

Hi i have read through this a bit, I have seen no mention. Is there a way to add the ability to purchase a package for another user in-game. As i make a donation for another family member and they receive the benefits?
    (example: /buy UsernameHere 1)

I guess you could have your family member generate the URL and then have him or her give the URL to you.

  18. That is possible via the webstore we provide for premium members.

I have a suggestion, making it so we can use our own url (from store.buycraft.net/example to store.example.com). Just an idea, hopefully it will be an add-on.

  20. Though of this before, looking into it. Not done much advanced domain stuff before.

I think it'd be a sub domain of a sub domain.

    store.buycraft.net is a subdomain of buycraft.net

    So it would be example.store.buycraft.net

Hopefully it will work! Still love this plugin/store mod.

That is a bad way to do it.

    @lmc

So what's the difference from the buycraft normal and your premium offer, and how much is it? You didn't really go into detail about it.

I have yet to use the plugin at all, but if you could be more clear...

    Premium gives you this:
    Store.buycraft.net/meacraft

Smooth, simple online access to easily purchase donation packages.

  31. Also removes advertisements and offers alot more things, look on the premium page.

Premium was increased to £4 when the webstore was released as I felt £2 was too little

    Sorry for double post!

    Its £4 one-off payment.
