    Error occurred during initialization of VM
    Could not reserve enough space for object heap

    yes, that works, however the server will only use about 300MB of ram and will get laggy quite quick

    teamviewer lets another person see and interact with your computer, its very useful for helping

    I'm having the same issue. I will tell you that I tried all the fixes posted in this thread.

    I'm running Windows XP on a machine with 2gb of ram. I installed Java 7 (32 bit) from the link you provided.
    I will tell you that I finally decided to see if it would run on my other machine, which is running Windows 7 and has 4 gb of ram, and I've installed the 64 bit java, and it worked without my having to do any changes whatsoever. However, I really was hoping to run the server on the XP box. Hope this extra information is helpful, let me know if I can provide any more information to you.

    Ok, which craftbukkit starter file are you using? What does it say when you open it with notepad? And I'm guessing java is in your C drive?

    Hozer

    im using the starter file 6
    The server starter says this with notepad:mad:echo off
    java -Xms1024M -Xmx2048M -jar "%~dp0craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar"
    PAUSE
    the the actual Craft bukkit starter(BATCH file) says this:mad:ECHO OFF
    IF /I "%PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE:~-2%"=="64" java -Xms1024M -Xmx2048M -jar "%~dp0craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar"
    IF /I "%PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE:~-2%"=="86" "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar "%~dp0craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar".

    and yes it is in my C drive

    @Hozer delete the first file, you don't need it. Or, if its the one you use, replace its contents with the contents from the second file.

    Yep, a few people had this issue with Norton Security, but there is no virus. Norton calls it that because less than 100 people have told them it's safe. Turn of your antivirus when you download it, but don't forget to turn I back on after

    Rustyhoff

    How do you use the uninstall? My computer doesn't recognize the file type

  29. Offline

    ImminentFate

    doesn't it? Try renaming it to Uninstall.exe but it should already be that. Or, go into control panel and uninstall it from there

    doesn't norton have a little icon in the bottom left of your taskbar? Right click it and hit exit
