I just wanted to ask this and see if it makes sense, I got bukkit working with the modloadmp stuff fine. But the mods themself seem to want to normally be added into the minecraft.jar file, but when I open up the bukkit jar file the folders are all different.

Is the bukkit jar a totally different thing then the minecraft jar? Since I normally just dump the mod into the server jar to get the mods going on the server but bukkit is just easy up untill I want to load the mods this morning and now I am stuck and thought I would just ask?
If it can't be done it's not the end of the world, I got BC and IC2 going on the normal server. I just happen to like bukkit and the plugins.

Yeah been there, saw how he said f'it about an update since someone else already did. Getting the mods and server going SMP without bukkit is simple enough and I've done it before, I just wanted to bring bukkit into it if I could. Since the jar files are so different I am not sure were to put stuff or even if it can be done.

Also the mo'creatures mod is all bukkit ready now but I can't find a 1.8 that copy of it for the normal mc jar, so I am getting an eye twitch trying to build crash try again with the jars. Thought I would see if anyone knew the location of stuff in the bukkit jar, like where the core class files go and so on. But thanks, I guess for now I just stick to the normal mcserver jar.

Aww maybe I misunderstood the question...but I think post by Muckk will help. Read a few of his posts:http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/382599-173-modloadermp-for-craftbukkit-and-canary/page__st__1640

I can't find where it started, but Muckk made modloadermp work with 1.8.

Yup, with 1.8 mcserver.jar I can get BC and IC2 to work fine. It's when I replace the server.jar with the bukkit jar, since mods need to be added inside the mcserver jar to work correctly or at least some core files and the rest got into the mod folder it creates. The problem is when you open the bukkit jar the whole folder listing is different without a clear idea where what goes. But I will look at the post again, but I am not having problems doing it, I am having problems when I try to use bukkit over mcserver is all.

    Thanks.

Oh I see. I looked into this many many times because my players wanted planes. I just kept seeing problems and so I had not gone all the way with it.

What I am hoping to find is just someone saying like the class files go here now and so on. Maybe I should fully open the bukkit jar and just do a search for same file names from the mcserver and see what happens, that may lead to the folder/spot the mods go into now. Also being that we are working with 1.8 stuff so most of it is kind of unstable at the moment anyway.

Getting the mods to work with just the minecraft server jar is easy if you weren't able to do that already?
