Two quick questions, do the plugins need an update for 1.8 or can you just use the ones from 1.7.3 in 1.8 bukkit? and will plugins like World edit, World guard, and Big bro work for creative mode?
Every plugin is a little different so there is no blanket way to tell if a plugin will work in 1.8 or not. I recommend adding 1 plugin at a time to your 1.8 server and see if it works. If it doesn't, you need to wait for an update to those plugins. And as far as the creative mode thing goes, probably, however there are no guarantees.
