    Try running Chunkster on your map. There might be corrupted map chunks in there.

    Hello, I'm back. For some reason, I wasn't getting alerts for this. Are alerts broken?

    how do i change the weather via console ?
    i use essentials but when i try to change the weather via console it tells me i can only do that ingame.
    i have a special script on the site that makes it day on the press of a button and it works via console.
    i want to add weather to is aswell.

  6. Wow, this consulting group is such a great feature! Kudos to all involved!

    My question: Is there any way to catch grass spread via any listener?
    Blockspread seems to catch fire but not grass, BlockForm is for snow and ice only and Ive found no listener for server side block changes so far! Im out of options!
    Any input?
    Thanks in advance!

    You most likely need it to run from MySQL.
    Imagine how much it would have to watch, on your whole world.
    This is advised against :)
    Even if you find one (one don't exist (i think (maybe >.<)))
    It would most likely cause lag, take up CPU and or Ram

    You will need another plugin like essentials for weather.
    If you already made a script for time, weather won't be that different

    Haha, I'll try. I don't think I'm cut out for it, I don't have enough previous knowledge of this kind of thing.

    I highly suggest switching to groupmanager, The new version is in Dev, you can get a copy from the essentials page (IRC)

    It works great, and supports superperms while using regular groupmanager layout and permissions 2x/3x nodes.
    It is the new standard.

    If you read the wiki you will.

    It checks their ID against the DB to see whether they paid for premium status.

    Any reason why a player or something would connect to my Bukkit server as soon as I turn it out with a username consisting of numbers? like 614917 or something? As this can't be a real username is it possible the server is being hacked?
    The user attempted to log in a few times and server console said 'taking too long to log in' a few times before they got in, to which I banned them, it attempted to reconnect several times so I shut down server for 10 minutes, reloaded and it didn't restart, although I have shut down now incase I was being hacked or something :S

    This is MC.net's authentication service being down because Notch's too lazy/poor to get a better cloud service other than Amazon's craptastic one.

    With fresh install I meant a fresh install with no-plugins or existing world. Also a completely different PC. Chunks were slow to load, even after they were generated.

    Tried chunkster but the DL is busted 404 error.
    Edit: Found it, it found nothing to repair

    Thank you, this clears things up, and makes sense, I heard notch was using that xD I didn't IP ban them, and I hadn't seen the IP before so I assume if that player tried to relog again when the service is working it would auth them and they would be able to log because their username would no longer be numbers?

    @Freezy
    Does the problem occur in vanilla?

  17. Well, my last request was not very clear, so I better correct that: What ways are possible to turn off/remove grass spread? Alternativly: Where can I find the grass spread code in the bukkit source?

    That might be something to go to the Plugin Dev. section for, although I know that altering MC game time (day/night) cycle can affect physics, water flow, and lava flow. That might also affect grass growth.

    so i updated java (thanks for that line of code its written down now), removed all plugins, and it's still doing that
    (sorry i took so long to respond busy week)

    Yes, I tried a fast SSD (server) as well as a 7200 RPM disk (regular desktop) with vanilla :(
    Chunks load very slowly, just in time though to walk on (also tried combinations of different PC's as the client).

    Ofcourse I can't test the plugins on vanilla...

    View distance is defaulted to 10, even tried setting client view distance to near.
    No difference.

    P.s. all my systems are Windows 7 64-bit
    Am I the only one with these problems?

    Can I post a plugin development problem?

    @saul100
    Go ahead.
    We might direct you to the plugin dev section though.

    What's the issue?

    @rwp140
    Try a fresh copy of craftbukkit.
    Just craftbukkit. No supporting files, no worlds, just craftbukkit.

    Players keep telling me they cannot connect to my server. It drops them with a java.io.IOException: bad packet id

    Heres the server log:

    I dunno what it is... Never had this issue until a day or two ago when minecraft.net was down, and everything started acting all wonky
