I'm loving the tool so far. One super minor thing I think was overlooked. The combination of brushes Ink Disk Face Replacement Brush doesn't exist. /b idfr was what I was looking for on my first project. There's a /b idr, but it's only horizontally oriented.

We were building a stargate with a whole series of levers on the back side of the chevrons and I needed to flip the orientation of all levers in a vertical plane without messing up levers elsewhere. I just ended up using a small ball brush to do the job. Thanks for the great tool.

I believe przerwap said there is a rework of VoxelSniper's code which would give every singe brush ink, no physics, etc. and any combination of them. It's on the way, but our coder(s) have a lot on their plate.

Gotta say this plugin is revolutionising our creative world. Thanks!

One thing though - for some reason the oceanator has stopped working. I type /b o, it enables the oceanator, but when I right click with the arrow it makes a square of water at around level 70 and does nothing else.

EDIT: ok I just worked out the problem - the sea level on our creative world is at 32. Would it be possible to add a config option for the server sea level so the oceanator can work on all worlds?

What I would suggest is before you lower the land, use the oceanator. We have various lowered sections of the map on The Voxel Box, but we've oceanated before the land was lowered.

That doesn't help if you need to oceanate after lowering the land level. Our map is pre-generated to 5300x5300. I then took it into McEdit and dropped the entire map 32 blocks (it maxed out 24GB of ram doing that ), took 6 hours to process on an i7 950. I now need to remove an island for a project but the oceanator keeps doing it at the wrong level :\

I have to say with the introduction of custom world generators into bukkit I would think that customising the sea level would be a valid config option for people.

What have i done wrong? Its just telling me what the command does, not actually doing it.

What you did wrong is not read the installation instructions.

I'll talk to przerwap about this, but you can also delete land by doing:
    /b e lift
And using the gunpowder which will drop, instead of lift.
You need to make snipers.txt in the /plugins folder with one name per line with proper caps (with your name in it). Then restart.
    Precisely.

Does this plugin conflict with other world edititing plugins such as World Edit? i dont think the commands are the same but i would like to make sure before i try, as i would like to have both preferably, so i can use worldguard

Ok so I read and reread the instructions but still I get the examples glitch, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong I put in my case sensitive account name into the "snipers.txt" as well as with the .jar in the pluggins folder, is there something else I missed?

Ahh i see, i made that file in the Voxel Sniper folder. My mistake.
    Thanks for not being judgemental.

OOOK... I've done that and its giving me this:
I changed it back to the default in the snipers.txt file and it half works, although it goes through those same errors it actually worked enough to get on it, but it gives some random errors some of them with [SEVERE], and connected to a couple of other plugins i have (essentials and multiverse), i cant see how that little txt can cause all that but i havn't changed anything else at all, and this is the only plugin i have installed recently.

You stopped your server abruptly while it was running, and the Errors are basically telling you that some of your chunks got dun broke.

Oh dear, yeah i should have remebered that as well.. The last time i was using my server i bluescreened... Which would explain why i cant get to the place where i was, which i had also spent hours making.
Is there any way of recovering the lost chunks and also i should go somewhere else because this is terribly off topic.

Not being judgemental. Just that I'm sick of one of my favorite watched threads keep getting spammed with people complaining about the same damn "example" error.

Probably some stuff on google for that. MCEdit may help, and there's some apps for it. Good luck!
Then don't worry about replyin' to em' and I can.

Hey guys.. What space plugin are you using for the asteroid tutorial? you all have helmets.. I tried styxspace and bananaspace.. but you seem to have a custom sky as well. I used to have a skybox mod for regularMC but not a space plugin.. Thanks for any info. Love your plugins.

We aren't using a space plugin. It's a texture pack and lots of modifying, MCEditing, and more.

I just wanted to report a bug real quick. If VoxelSniper plugin is loaded, and you hit a note block with WorldEdit's super pickaxe, the client crashes, and this message appears on the server console:

03:41:57 [WARNING] Failed to handle packet: java.lang.NullPointerException

Not sure which plugin's "fault" this is, but I figured I'd mention it here. Here is where I reported it on Worldedit's bugtracker. http://redmine.sk89q.com/issues/674

Bullshit. I don't give a rat's ass what the WE tracker tells you; there is no way in hell Sniper is interacting with WE in any way, shape, or form.

Indeed. I've had the same bug, but it conserned only InstaBreak and a note block. The note block is simply programmed in a way that makes it... resistant/anathema to instant removal tools.
EDIT: IB doesn't have a problem with note blocks after I updated it from 1.3-1.4 and Bukkit from 904-1060.

    przerwap

    Eh?

The noteblock is not resistant in any way to instant removal tools, my plugin is perfectly capable of removing them.

Also, WE is not only unable to remove noteblocks, but also unable to place them. Sniper can do both.

Aha. Bah, presumptions. They are ever one of my greatest flaws. I have never even looked at WE. so I shouldn't pull conclusions about it. Sorry 'bout that.

what are the chanses for map corruption with using this?

  28. Offline

    przerwap

    Less than WorldEdit

doesn't tell me much acually, i dont know how often worldedit causes map corruption :)
    but tell me.
Please put it on a scale 1 -10 (1 being safe, 10 being definitive corruption)

Have you looked into using NVX's cleanroom generator? (github.com/NVX/CleanroomGenerator)? You can set it so it just generates completely empty chunks. Saves time on MCEditing.
