When you make an edit to GroupManager, you have to type /essentials in-game to reload all of the Essentials plugins.

Also, please use punctuation. It was very hard to understand.

Lastly, the best part about GroupManager is the simple in-game commands. Just type:
    /manuadd <PLAYER> <GROUP>

and it adds them to that group, without the need to reload, or if you have inheritance set up for each group, type:
    /manpromote <PLAYER> <GROUP>

Wait -- it doesn't show next to their name??? You're thinking of prefixes. In GroupManager, there's a field that looks like this:
    Code:
    info:
        prefix: ''
        suffix: ''
        build: true
Set the prefixes to whatever you want, but make sure you leave the apostrophes. Then download iChat and configure it to your liking.

well i have kept the prefix to the one it set automaticly but i dont see how i can fix the problem i have got?

You need iChat to add the prefixes to users.

Well that's something you do with iChat -- speaking of which I just realized you have the wrong version. GroupManager uses the Permissions 2 Bridge.

so what do i need to get? and what do i need to do with i chat?

Well go to the iChat Forum Thread, go down to the Download section, and download the Permissions 2.x Version.

In the config, the message format should look like this:
    Code:
    message-format: '[+group] +name: +message
That's just a general idea. You can make it however you want with any color.

but as i have mcmyadmin i dont need to do it in the file i just to it on the webpage so thats where i add the groups and configure it all.

but when i add someone to the group it dosent display the group name next to their username

Dude, seriously. You don't know what you're talking about so do what I'm saying. The comment I just posted explains exactly what you need to do. Permissions doesn't automatically add the Group next to the Username, which is why you need iChat.

no but it used to work fine u used to just make the group choose the colour then add the user. i never needed to go into files, i did it all in mcmyadmin and i have ichat.

But you don't have the right VERSION of iChat!!! Have you read ANY of my comments?

the group infront just suddenly dissaperd once when i restarted the server it was there then it went.

    Banana937

Well that makes no sense, because the group doesn't automatically appear there. You need a chat plugin like iChat to do that, and the version of iChat you have isn't the right version for GroupManager.

    Is it configured right?

In the config, the message format should look like this:
    Code:
    message-format: '[+group] +name: +message

Yes. Delete your groups.yml and users.yml and remake them.
