    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Ah nevermind, it looks like I have to place coal into the plane? But this doesn't work! I'm unable to open the plane's inventory of the plane. And I have the bug, that I can interact with the world, after I left the plane with E.

    For the Time Spout doesn't have mods like Planes, Buildcraft. Also I prefer ItemCraft for that.

    Have you comment false setPacket230OnLogin (with #), your server that i download, hasn't it comment, I think that it will works better.

    maybe if "add custom blocks/items/entities/vehicles to the game" work i will take a look at it

    on client? i just put (not extract) the zip into the mods folder. same with qFancy, SGlass and KSlopes.
    i put only the weaponmod into the minecraft.jar

    I think Spout is too intrusive: It doesn't care if it interferes with other mods; it just pushes itself onto your setup regardless if you want the update or not. I couldn't figure out how to disable automatic update (if there's an option for it), and the documentation is not there yet. So to your point about Spout making this useless, I say that it promises a lot, but at this state, it is as good as useless to me; while at least "this" allows me to use some mods that are otherwise unavailable to Bukkit.

    Thanks for porting this mod. I've been patiently waiting for this. :)

    I tried your port, but my client keeps crashing. I haven't experimented with a server/client with just your Mo Creatures port to see if it is an interaction with another mod that is causing the issue. The setup I have that causes the crash:

    ItemCraft: StainedGlass, MoreTrees, JumpPad,
    ModloaderMP: Planes, BuildCraft.v2.0.1, Portals.v5

    The client works when I play in single player mode, but when logging into the server will crash immediately. I don't have the log atm, but can do that later tonight.

    Error Log would help :)
    I guess it could be a ID conflict... look at the log and post the error or deinstall ALL mods then install one by one again and look which causes the error.
    If its an ID conflict you need to change the ID which causes the conflict.

    As you posted this a long time ago, the syntax of plugins.ic has now changed, for exmaple plugin goes AFTER "ICMCreatures.jar".

    Could you please provide an updated plugins.ic file for us to see, as I don't understand the new format :S

  15. by default the letter 'S' will open up the plane's inventory, and I have not come across your issue where you are unable to interact with the world after exiting a plane ?

    Settings have to be changed on both client and server to match. Some mods do not have a config allowing these changes.
    Block ID's can be set in the plugins.ic file - before the plugins list by using :
    setinit (blockname) variable
    For example :
    setinit IDblockMachine 250
    .
    You would then have to edit the client config file to match this setting.

    dont forget to uncomment the icfancypack in the \ItemCraft\ICScript\plugins.ic
    and delete the meta-inf folder in craftbukkit.jar


    ... so i still have the problem that i can't see any custom items from modloader-mp mods
    balkon's weaponmod and planes

    No, sadly, I have nothing to offer you in that regard. I do have a caveat though, in that I do get spammed with (seemingly harmless) error messages while running bukkit 1060. If that was your problem, we're on the same page.

    It says that setinit is an unknown identifier though...does that change anything?

    Where did you place the class files for balkon's weaponmod and planes? In the itemcraft jar, right?

    yep
    itemcraft.jar/net/minecraft/server/

    but i don't know what to set for the entity-id's, whatever i try the bullets/bolts/thrown items are still invisible (only in smp)
    with 0 itemcraft sais that the entity-id has to be below 255 ... with something other it sais nothing but doesn't change the result
    weaponmod config goes to mods\weaponmod\
    and planes config file goes to server-root

    For the weapon mod, you need to set entityIDs for it. Go to the weaponmod config and put set entityID numbers for each item. For me, I started with 242 and went on until the last item with an entityID needed. It will work after that. As for the planes, I'm not too sure about that. It works fine for me just by dragging over the class files, but the planes are hard to control.

    where "blockTopiary" is the block name, 153 is the id you wish to set it to.

    There are some issues, but it seems to work for some users - best thing is to give it a try.

    it was supposed to be USER: PASS but it showed up as a smile cause there wasnt a space but i put it in this one

    yes but im wanting to no if anyone can make it so i can use both plugins (i dont have itemcraft in my server right now because i no it wouldnt work)

    I am using the allocator, jumppad, chesttrap, and fan mod. And these are the settings I tried to use with the new format:
    "blockchesttrap" 113 setID
    "blockallocator" 114 setID
    "blockjumppad" 115 setID
    "blockfanon" 116 setID
    "blockfanoff" 117 setID

    The original IDs for each item (starting from chesttrap to fanoff) are:
    103,104,105,106,107
