Player Editor is an Amazing plugin. It allows you to change a Player's Skin, Cape, and/or Title. THIS DOES REQUIRE CLIENT MOD. The client mod is not required to connect though, just to see the changes made by player editor. The client mod is Spoutcraft and the accompaning Spout Plugin. You can edit as specific player, or an entire Group. Remember that specific player settings will overrule any group settings.

    Features:
    • Change Player's Skin, Cape, and/or Title

The name changing thing is one of the single most important aspects of the server I am developing. Would it be possible for the name to change without someone relogging? When someone logs in, we don't want their real name shown to anyone who was already logged in.
Also, can you make it so it changes chat names please?

Awesome plugin! but i really think Permissions groups are an important thing, i really dont want to have to edit two seperate kinds of groups.

Can you PLEASE add Permissions compatability! please!

  6. I would love to see a completely client side version of this for use on any server.

Basically you want a player editor built into the Spoutcraft client?

I think he means a universal database in which PlayerEditor can refer to, like that in CapeMe :p

@alta189, do you still have 0.9.1, for BukkitContrib? I'm still waiting for plugins to port to Spout, but didn't back up when updating PlayerEditor :(

    Nope sorry

  11. No I meant a version that doesn't rely on the server at all, so I could go on servers that I am not admin on and see my friends as wearing capes and having their real names instead of their screen names. (Sorry to bring this up) but sort of like what Team Avocado has built into their client. Just a suggestion of course, but I couldn't find something like that anywhere.
[Edit] it changes Avo.l.ition to Avocado sorry.
[Edit Again] Acually Cape Me might work for what I want.

Just a quick question that's not in the faq - How do your groups work with this? I added the "donator" group using the /gedit add donator command, and then set the cape for the group using /gedit cape donator <url>(and the url is correct). None of the donators on my server have the cape however. Is the group based off the permissions groups or is it stored somewhere else and I have to add them via a command(you listed no add to group commands that I see). I saw the default.txt file, is it suppose to create a new one for each group?

I can't get capes working for the life of me, I copied your demo file for the cape and put it on my public webserver, tested the url in the browser and it works.

Inserted it into gedit and it doesnt show for anyone, titles show fine tho. (slight bug with titles, the last name does not get read unless a blank line is below it in the file).

The plugin doesnt give me any feedback in the log on whats going wrong and can you please add a -reload like it sais in the video?

Well, i used the same url as the OP and that one works. My url has a port in it, that might be why, its : lipe123.dyndns.org:1337/Public/cape1.png

Could you make the permissions group style a toggle config in the plugins config file? I don't see the point in this if I have to manually add each player individually. I have over 100 active users and that just sounds like a daunting task.

I will be testing it on myself though :3

I completely agree with this, i really dont want seperate groups for skins and permissions groups...i have a busy server and i cant always be there too rank them up..im 14 year olds and i have a life outside my darn server.

Great plugin though it just needs permissions namely Permissions 2 and 3 :)

So to be able to see the changes made with P.E. the client need to start the game with SpoutLuncher?

    Nice plugin!

I'd love it if this plugin had a nickname variable (as seen in iChat and BulletinBoardBridge).

This would be especially great on my server considering people have chat nicknames set via their forum display names.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Yah, haven't really had time to fix anything, because of my involvement in spout. I will try to when I can

Although I understand about your involvement with Spout and that Player Editor WAS working with CB1000, I have to say that your plug-in is not working with the Spout's latest dev builds. No more skins and capes for us.
