I have another post on port forwarding and how to set up your server

Make sure you have admin rights

Read my other post on setting up a server

Set server-ip to "empty" in the server.properties

Okay, so I've fixed the before issue, and it worked fine (I think) but now I can't connect to my server at all. It just stays at "Connecting..." It might be my computer, or I did something wrong. (I'm quite the newbie.) Any advice?

    @PhantomsCore http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/craftbukkit-server-how-to-run-port-forward-hamachi-lan-etc.27018/

    If
it means craftbukkit can't find java on your computer. I think I might need to make an FAQ because people don't read earlier posts

Not sure if i'm overlooking it or not, but when I try to run the server from the start menu, it tells me that I can't run a 32 bit .dll on a 64 bit platform, I do not see a 64 bit download. Recommendations or help please.

Most people should have java 1.6, since 1.7 isn't even officially out yet. So unless you have been to oracle.com and downloaded java JRE1.7 specifically, you will not have it

the plugins folder is in the place where craftbukkit was installed. By default this is %appdata/roaming/
you can get your ip by typing ipconfig in command prompt and scrolling down to where it says IPv4 address

are you using a cracked minecraft?

    0031904

    does it make a difference?

    ImminentFate

yes, it does. If its cracked, online-mode in server.properties has to be false.

Me and my friend just began to use this, last night, after trying for a while to create a server, and it worked perfectly.
But now, in the morning, for some reason, it will not let either of us connect. When i run 'launch craftbukkit', it says 'cannot connect to "ci-b.bukkit.org" ', and so i assume this is the problem ...... Do you know how i can solve this? ...... We were using the hamachi ip address to connect, but neither that, nor the external ip address work now.
    Thanks in advance :)

Hmm, now it seems to be working again, but it still says that it cannot connect to "ci-b.bukkit.org" ......

It still isnt working for me :/
I followed the steps and still no one can connect...My friend says its because I have a Firewall. Is this true?
    Also:
    Windows
    x32
    Java 1.6

I can provide more info if needed.

I have never had that happen before, but I think it's just that bukkit is upgrading there craftbukkit download or something

Did you read my other post on setting up a server?
