BukkitContrib is superseded by Spout, the new Bukkit/Client framework.​

 

I think he's not talking about skins/capes, he's talking about the model's size/form.
Let's ask Alta or Afforess if it would be possible, it's an interesting idea.

We are not sure what the api will have yet, there is a lot we still have to work I'm at work right now, but I will expand more on the topic when I get home.

This plugin already lets you change a player's appearance, or in other words, it tricks clients by telling them that there is a mob instead of a player. From my understanding, in the future, Spout will enable us to add new entities (mobs).
However, the developer of MobDisguise claims that it is impossible to change the player due to Minecraft limitations, but that sounds rather illogical to me.

 

color me stupid because I'm a plugin noob, but I'm messing with the dev build. I can see that screens contain widgets, and I understand how to make my own widgets and screens, but I'm completely missing some kind of screen manager or something that adds the screens..to the screen? I don't get it.

EDIT: For reference, I am trying to just make a simple plugin that adds a text label widget in a corner that I can change the text of.

He is correct currently we cannot change the size or appearance of player, I'm not sure if that will change. The reason that you cannot have the size of your disguise is that his plugin sends fake data packets to all of the other players,those packets say that there is <insert name of disguise> is where your player is, but your client still sees you as a player

You could just send the Packet71Weather manually to clients.

I was referring to the future feature of adding new mobs to Minecraft through BukkitContrib. That should enable us disguising as these new mobs (and by making a new mob looking like a dwarf we can disguise ourselves as a dwarf). I already knew the player does not actually change, but the server tricks the clients.

My question was

uhm.. I set the ForcePlayer to have BukkitContrib Client install, but some players can't install bukkitcontrib client, so i want a permission for a player who doesn't have a bukkitcontrib client to exempt him from kicking out by the server,,,
