    StyxSpace - Version 1.1 [TheOne]

What is StyxSpace, what can it be used for?
StyxSpace is a plugin that allows generation of worlds that are "space", empty. Say you want to make a space station and some planets, you can do so with StyxSpace. We offer you space to build in, you make space really look like space. Freebuild servers (like Styx Reborn!) can use StyxSpace to give their players a world they can freely wander around and build amazing space
related builds. Survival servers can use StyxSpace to give players a new world to explore.

StyxSpace is very lightweight. It only offers a single command for everything. You can use other plugins like Inception to offer players a brand new way to
go to space. For extra realism we have added spacehelmets & spacesuits to the plugin - without a
helmet/suit you won't be able to survive in space for long! StyxSpace has a great amount of
configuration to make your space worlds feel exactly how you want them. You might be wondering what the space StyxSpace creates looks like.. Below are some screenshots with planets, asteroids and all that good stuff StyxSpace has to offer!

As you can see from the last screenshot, StyxSpace now has Pail (a Bukkit GUI) support. From there you can change StyxSpace settings and save them. This feature is still a work in progress but should be finished soon!

StyxSpace also has Spout-support. If you have Spout installed, and your players use Spoutcraft, you can now remove clouds from spaceworlds! This is toggleable in the configuration file though, so don't worry.

I have encountered a problem with the sign portals, using both BukkitPermissions and Permissions 3.1.6, when I use the portal to the Space world it teleports perfectly, however coming portaling back instantly disconnects me from the server and returns these errors.

    Permissions 3.1.6

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

EDIT: Just to clarify, not using both the permission plugins at the same time, two different servers, one has PermissionsBukkit, the other has Permissions 3.1.6

Because the errors don't have a single word about StyxSpace, no.

It doesn't have a single word about any of my plugins which is why I have no idea what is causing it. The fact that it is happening with two different permission plugins points the problem more towards the portal system then the permission systems however.

Sorry if this has been answered, but if you are in an enclosed space, do you need a spacesuit? For example, a movecraft ship?

Problably a lot of people had this thought, but i was wondering if it would be possible to have another gravity system I mean something between underwater and normal or that without walking on ironblocks with magnetic boots you just fly away , when that's not possible maybe just a longer jump or something.
I'm just sharing random thoughts and keep up the good work,

This will either be glitchy (it will be simply throwing you upwards with server scripts) or require a client mod to change how gravity works.

I've just finished the painful process of making all of StyxSpace support multiple space worlds. I also changed the location of planet configuration to its own YAML-file simply because there is a shitload of stuff you can change with that. I don't know when I'm releasing v1.1, but I promise it will come before the 10th. :)

Also, default space world name will be changed. And lots of other changes.

EDIT: Some default "new" configuration files for you:
    Planet generation, planets.yml - http://pastie.org/2324894
    Main configuration, config.yml - http://pastie.org/2324895
Portal data file stays the same ;)

Maybe an expansion to a client-side mod wouldn't be a bad step, I mean there are a lot of incredibly good modders at minecraftforum.net and a guy named krnlyng got modloader mp working on bukkit and now ports normal multiplayer mods to bukkit, I understand that for big servers client-side mods are not optimal but for small and friend servers (where there are a lot of) it would be awesome.
I myself hardly know anything about modding and java, but I do know that if there would be special gravity in space it would be one of the best things ever happened to Minecraft

  21. I think a gravity mod would be an awesome thing, too. But I think it's not implementable cause of a little thing: It wouldn't be a small thing adding a minor feature which nobody would care about so that you can make it optional, It would be a almost essential thing of this plugin. So this plugin would switch to a server+client plugin pack fast and cause of that it would loose popularity...
What I want to say: If I were the dev of this I wouldn't implement it...

    Styx Reborn

I didn't even notice this post. Thank god I started going through these last few pages for any bugs I haven't yet fixed.
About your edit: its supposed to scare the thieves away :b, not really that important if youre a real dev.
1: Don't feel like jumping in the thread, but @SiKL0N3 can jump in here if he feels like it.
2: It's stable (but not that useful yet)
3: Block flying in a certain place, e.g the "breathable areas" of StyxSpace.
4: They aren't stars, hell, they're supposed to be asteroids, but they seem to glow. :p
    5: Final.... who knows.

    @Everyone:
Okay, I'm supposed to keep this inside my Notepad - but how can this list hurt anybody?
    Version 1.1 [TheOne]:
-Added support for multiple space worlds
-Added glowstone generation, configurable spawning chance
    -Added permission nodes to plugin.yml

-Planet generation configuration is in its own file now, global
-Helmet block id's and armortypes are now global
-Changed some commands because of multiple space world support
-Changed some permission nodes, added permission groups (SuperPerms)

-Removed some old code that is no longer used
-Removed /space reload as it didn't work like it should
-Removed teleporting others to space as it was a hacky command
-Removed a command no one has yet found, added sometime in 0.4
    ------------------
While you still have the command, why don't you try '/spacev iffa' :D As for the update date&time, sometime before 10th, still. Today, tomorrow, someday. There will be a new dev build soon though.

  28. Thanks for answering. :)
See 1. as a replace for 4.: Asteroids which dont call "Hey, come to me, I have resources", they call: "Go away, I'm burning your face away". :D But i will see if I can have a talk to SiKL0N3. :)
    2. Tried it, found it very unstable... But I can wait.
    3. Ah, ok, so everything can fly (entitys, too?).

    3: Only players.

Okay, I've updated https://github.com/iffa/StyxSpace/blob/master/target/StyxSpace-1.0.jar so now it "successfully" is the latest dev build of 1.1. Multiple space worlds... lots of changes. Please look at plugin.yml for help if you need any. Oh, and backup your styxspace stuff if youäre going to use this. I warn you: I've forced a world called world_space.

EDIT: Here is a newer changelog, still working on the configuration stuff because of the changes...
    Version 1.1 [TheOne]:
-Added support for multiple space worlds
-Added glowstone generation, configurable spawning chance
    -Added permission nodes to plugin.yml
    -Added SpaceWorldHandler and SpaceConfigHandler (API)

-Changed config.yml a lot. Please make a new config when updating from older versions to 1.1.
-Planet generation configuration is in its own file now, global
-Helmet block id's and armortypes are now global
-Changed some commands because of multiple space world support
-Changed some permission nodes, added permission groups (SuperPerms)
-Changed the API around a bit for multiple space worlds (API)
-Cleaned the code up a cheeseload

-Removed some old code that is no longer used
-Removed /space reload as it didn't work like it should
-Removed teleporting others to space as it was a hacky command
-Removed a command no one has yet found, added sometime in 0.4
    -Removed SpaceHandler (API)
-Removed some old methods because of code changes (API)

For some reason when I do "/space" "[StyxSpace] You don't have permissions to go to space!" and when I try to use a sign "[StyxSpace] You don't have permission to use this portal!" yet I don't even have the permissions plugin. -_- I want to use this :(
