BukkitContrib is superseded by Spout, the new Bukkit/Client framework.

@Afforess Do you think maybe you could make worldedit sp compatible with bukkitcontrib if it isnt already?

Quick question, will BukkitContrib support changing sky color at some point, perhaps?

I will add it to the feature requests

So it has options to change to control the fog and whatever else optifog+optimine does?

Or is it just performance tweaks? If it is, is it noticeably smoother?

I can't use bukkitcontrib at all anymore, I get this client side error when trying to connect to server:

EDIT: Enabling sounds/music in minecraft settings fixed this

How come the Github link is broken? It was working earlier today. maybe v0.2 is coming out now :D

The Project is being renamed to Spout as it seems.
    https://github.com/Afforess/Spout/

Seems like a good idea to change it because bukkit contribute is a slight bit longer than healthy.

    Hmm... Spout? Interesting name.

    https://github.com/Afforess/Spout/issues/milestones

Looks like it's been changed from Bukkitcontrib v0.2 to Spout v1.0 and is due in 2 days.

Then in a month we will have 1.1 which will apparently will further the gui from 1.0 and "The initial steps toward custom entities/items/blocks" :D.

Then 1.2 in two months "Spout 1.2 will focus on the ability for server side plugins to add custom blocks and execute client side code (for primarily custom gui widgets) as well as registering custom packets."

Sounds great! I wish it was all released now though XD

Is there any support for/plans to support mob retexturing? The appearance manager only seems to support players, if I'm reading it right. It would be kind of interesting if something like Randomobs could be done as a contrib plugin in the long run, or even more interesting if a contrib plugin used such functionality to define rules for mob skins (eg. the dreaded Snow Creeper lurks in arctic biomes...)

Yes, it has a few of them. I will be attempting to add the remaining tweaks before 0.2.

It should run faster than vanilla at any rate.

I reuploaded 0.1.7 with the fix for that ~2 days ago. Redownload, install, and you should be fine.

It's certainly possible, but probably won't be until custom entities are out.

Spout is the new project name. It's a play off words with Bukkit.

(Hint: How do you fill up a Bukkit?)

Can't wait until Spout 1.0, I want to make a plugin which gives me a HUD to simplify the process of destroying my friends with lightning and fire.

    @Afforess
Would it be possible for you to add a way to store multiple servers in the client?

Like a favorites list on the Multiplayer page?

It would be cool to have some way of retrieving a server list from a master server. An in game server browser. I haven't thought out the details, but this would be cool, for the far future (I'm not demanding it be added now).

I was already planning on doing this before you even asked. >.>

A small example of what can be done with the GUI in ~15 min and less than 20 lines of code.

Wait... so it's like a single client-side mod that automatically downloads other client-side mods off the server without effecting the Vanilla files?

Not yet, that feature is coming later, it is an API for developers to hook into. Allowing more functionality then ever available before

...Well... can't wait until it can do that... I've been waiting for that ever since I learned that client-sides mods aren't currently possible.

hoping for the Aether on SMP :D

@Afforess you've got to change the links for github and jenkins to Spout instead of BukkitContrib, gives me a 404 often.
Can't wait to test the GUI this afternoon ;)

I don't have a problem with manually changing links - but maybe others who want to install dev versions for example. ;)

lol I know, but not long for the versions are dev, plus the jenkins is temporarily disabled until the namespace is changed

I must say guys, I have been running this on my server for about 3-4 days and both me and my members are loving it. Alot of options, this is defiantly a great plugin for those going for the most in-depth custom minecraft experience.
