I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

I would have implemented inventory updating when i could modify offline players ...
Preventing from rollback oneself doesn't really fix the issue (as they can ask someone else to mine the block once or find a mined diamond block somewehere). You might have to find more trustworthy mods :D

Hi, please do the registration of water and lava. When to put the water, the plug-in detects only one block, which was raised, but not on all the water that flowed.

  4. Offline

    DiddiZ

There is lavaflow logging, but water isn't worth the effort at all.

Logging leaf decay seems to be severely lagging my server and mysql database. Is it possible for you to try and make the process of logging the leaf decay any faster? You see I want leaf decay logging turned on because every time I roll someone's actions back I end up with trees with no leaves everywhere XD

Guys, my console keeps saying this:
16:59:02 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 4010
16:59:11 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 4024
16:59:21 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 4030

If /reload it will countdown, but it takes like 4000 seconds.. How to solve this?

  13. Offline

    DiddiZ

No, as there are about 15 leaves per wood block, so every woodcutter counts for 16 players ...
    Set forceToProcess to 50.

  14. Offline

    Pixiio

But what does it mean? My LogBlock doesnt update players until a reload i think

That message is for me. Read what it says under your quote :)

  16. Offline

    DiddiZ

It works, but only very very slow, like 3 blocks per run. forceToProcess speeds that a bit up :D
    @godgodgodgo
But still you can try to adjust the consumer, might help a bit.

Yeh I did that and i was still getting big queues so I disabled it.

  19. Using CB1003 and LB1.23,

    Issue 1:
"[INFO] Logblock v1.23 by DiddiZ enabled.", Please make the B in block uppercase. I have been waiting a looong time for someone to notice this, but since its such a minor thing i havent bothered to report it. Its kinda important when you use a grep on the server.log since its case sensitive.

    Issue 2:
Whenever i break cobblestone_stairs block it doesnt get logged, perhaps due to stairsdrop plugin canceling the break somehow to remove normal cobble drop and making stairs drop instead. Placing does make it into log okay.

    Answered to your pm.
    1. Fixed
    2. There's no way i could so this, you have to ask the dev to use the LB api to log the block change.

  21. Thanks for 1
Problem with 2 is that the plugin is long dead, would you mind writing a extremely minor stairdrop that adheres to LogBlock? Will surely require next to no maintenance. Pretty please?
Or is an API chance actually needed? :)

As it will most likely spam your db with many rows, like leaves decay logging.
The logging of rails/redstone/etc broken by water/lava is NOT part of flow logging but block break logging

Hey, first of all, congratulations for making such a nice plug in!
now... I have this little problem I can't fix... already googled, reinstalled... deleted databases and even ctrl+shift+surp on my browser to delete everything but nothing.
What I did was install the webstats thingy, then I had to uninstall it for X reason, and when I installed it again definetly, it started showing this errors in the index.php page (it seems to load fine but this errors are still there):
Thanks in advance for any possible help.

So... it is because of something I am doing or is it related to the code? ^^
Anyway... I discovered that it still logs everything correctly... but those ugly error lines there are ugly :p

Some php.ini magic later... (display_errors = off xD) I managed to hide them xD
    Thanks for the help ^^
