the console chat works but dynamic map chat is not which is annoying but is an okay sacrifice lol

its recreatable though, if you grab dynamic map and host it on your server with out mchat and go to yourserverip:8123 (no apache stuff needed) and chat in the server, the map shows who is chating and what is said, chatting on the map shows the text on the server (along with the users ip number)

add mchat and no chat appears in dynamic map (from the map to the server still works though)

wierdly on the console the chat is prefixed with [public] we dont have any channels enabled is the default chat actualy a channel in disguise? if so could the problem be fixed with a setting to deactivate the channel function in the config?

 

Ill take a look at the Dyn Map coding to see what it is looking for.

They are permission based virtual channels. All you need to do to join a channel is have permission mchat.channel.CHANNELNAME and use /mchannel CHANNELNAME to join it to go back to the public channel use /mchannel public.

Hi I'm trying to get each groups chat message colour to change i.e white, red, yellow and black but only the default(white) and the vip(yellow) groups are working. i've added the mchat.group.default: true in the default groups permissions in the Permissionsbukkit config.yml and the same thing for each other group but I don't understand why it isn't working.

When one switches channels do we stay in each one? Or only one at a time? Id like to see more then one channel at a time and as well have a default local channel with a global secondary channel. Any way to do this?

@Drtrider: The channel feature was/is meant to be a simple permissions based virtual channel.

 

Ah wow thank you so much. I assumed that the inheritance overrode the previous prefix and suffix node but i guess that was silly. Works great now thank you very much

 

Well nice plugin so far, but i have a major problem with it:

Until i type '/mchannel public' (or any other channel) the plugin simply doesn't recieve the msg from bukkit...

Error msg says that the event PLAYER_CHAT couldn't be passed to mChat, but as i said, this is only until i switch the channel. So maybe you forgot to set 'public' as the initial channel?

 

*Silent Update* (PLAYER_CHAT Errors should be fixed) If they are not make sure to send the whole error message.

 

Does this work with PermissionsEx by any chance?

 

A semi-big problem, I have found that changing the group and suffix are impossible heres my config and my ingame result.

Ok I will explain how to set the permissions and everything in the OP.
Wellin: When are you getting this NPE? on /reload or when you stop than start server?
