There is no world folder in the craftbukkit folder, it's the exact same as when I first installed it, and like I said, changing the world in server properties doesn't do anything.

Run the server once, let it load fully and it should create everything including the world

I've let it run at least 5 times now, the world folder only shows up after I uninstall it

Set it up as you would set up a normal minecraft server

There are no errors, it just doesn't show up the files or folders that it created when it first ran. It looks exactly the same as when I first installed and didn't run it.

You will need a flying plugin but yes you can

Try this older installer <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

Hey, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm an EXTREME NOOB with this. I've downloaded the Craftbukkit Launcher, launched it and let it load everything. Now what do I do? I'm sorry. Please help as I really don't want to have to use Hamachi and everybody says this is way better. Please reply soon, I don't have a clue what to do. Enter my IP? Go to a website? Make some files? No idea. Thanks for what you've been doing an keep up the good work.

    Thanks,

You need to use a plugin called permissions

Hey, I wish i could go through the steps one by one with you, but I'm kinda busy right now. If you do a quick search, you will find out exactly how to set it up.

    Thanks :)

are you using a cracked minecraft? cos then it won't work with port-forwarding (i think)

Yes that should be it but you can also :
Start => cmd => type "ipconfig" => scroll to where it says ipv4 address

You, sir, are a genius. I have wanted to use CraftBukkit on my server ever since I first heard about it but gave up after being assaulted with all of the complex coding and what-not necessary to get it running. This is such an easy way to get things going, it really is the best system I've found.

Thank you so much! Now my friends and I will be able to enjoy the modding love in multiplayer!

Thank so much for the installer, made it 1000x easier. Everything is fine but when i click on the Launch CraftBukkit desktop icon it tells me "The system could not find the path specified. Press any key to continue." How do i solve this?

Did you change where craftbukkit installed to? Also I need your basic info ( os version, java, etc)

    Hobo888`

Yeah i changed it into a folder and my java is 1.6 and im running on windows 7
EDIT: I tried to leave it where it normally installs but the same error message
2nd EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it, but thanks for your concern and for the installer. To fix it i just edited the CraftBukkit Starter and replaced what was there with this:
    Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
    PAUSE

    I'm using a windows 7 64 bits 1.6 java
all the server properties are default
it's an offline server and we are using hamachi
but when anyone tries to join they get the message

"Failed to connect to the server

    Connection refused: connect"

we are using my ip from hamachi
any idea of what could be the problem?
    thx

    ImminentFate

glad you figured it out :)

in server.properties, the server-ip should be blank and the port should be the default (25565). Also, you might have to check your firewall and anti-virus to make sure it isnt blocking hamachi from connecting to the internet
