Are you running mobarena? On yserver if anyone is in the mobarena th whole server gets taming xp anytime someone kills a wolf and and we get the GORE msg. Ive gone from 0 to 115 taming in the 3 days mobarena has been installed.

 

my database is on the webserver i have, but by the same provider

no i dont have mobarena, and as i know im the only one hwo gets the GORE msg

I'd talk to them then and see what kind of connection they have going between them. Most people who have the SQL Server on the same lan have a performance increase. Although if you had no lag with FFS you may want to just switch back to it.

Yes, if your server and your mysql db are not on the same lan network, then no there is no way to fix lag other then switching back to flat files.

 

Hello Hello! I have to say I am excited about installing this Mod on my server. It was pretty much the one Mod that everyone agreed had to be put on. We are excitedly waiting for it to be compatible with the newer version of Permissions. Do you know if such a compatibility upgrade will be made before 1.8 is released?

okay then i have to ask my provider now if they can manage to get both on one machine or i must change back

edit: yes i saw now that logblock dont tracks some players or blocks, i dont know why?!

 

i disabled the archery fire limit yet it still apply's

 

Anyone knows why i get 4 times the stats when i convert from flatfile to database?

EDIT: Found the problem! mcMMO had put some people's name 4 or 5 times inside the flatfiles. Weird but true! Had to delete the duplicate names and that fixed the converting process!

@nossr50, /mmoedit doesn't seem to be working. Nothing happens

 

Did you give yourself the permission node?

Seems like a problem with the permissions plugin you are using, possibly a bad setup for the nodes.

You're using config.yml right?

 

I am an op, shouldn't it work? I doesn't display any permissions error or any error at all, nothing just happens

 

ur hosting provider probably wont allow both server's to be on the same machine unfortunatly, so u will have to switch back.

The person must be logged in for you to edit there skills, and it also will not show on the leaderboards until they level it up at least one time.

Oh that might be the thing, not level up at least one time. And they are logged in.

 

i have no problem with logblock or iconomy wich are both also on MySQL and provider said also to me they have intern an average 10ms connection

when i change mcmmo to mysql ist stating heavy lags and killed server now sometimes, even then i deactivate logblock and iconomy and only let work mymmo with MySQL its the same, so there must be any problem

 

Its the way I programmed mcMMO, it makes a lot of requests to MySQL so any delay is bad. I can always change how this works in the future, its on my todo list.

Hi.. can u try adding a dependency to WorldGuard Region? so let say if I have another island with a different region.. you can put more experience when they killed within that region..

 

Maybe you could mention in the first post that using MySQL isn't always better. I switched to it on my server and then we suffered through terrible lag for two days until we figured out what the cause was. Switching back to FFS solved it, but we lost a couple of days' worth of skill-ups.

Granted, it was a MySQL database on a remote server, so the communication between the two probably caused the slowdown. Even so, MySQL isn't necessarily better than FFS in all cases.

 

Just want to mention that apparently the source of my high CPU use and memory leak was caused almost entirely by the rush release of BorderGuard 4.0. Once I upgraded to 4.1, my server was running as smooth as I was always used to, so I don't think McMMO (or any of my high-frequency MySQL plugins) was causing any real slowdown.

 

Wait I'm confused it requires permissions but its optional?

Hello i have a problem, mcMMO doesnt create tables in my database

McMMO commands dont seams to work if you are usning PermissionsPEX anyone else have this problem or is it just me? all nodes are setup as they should be, lastest McMMO and PEX and MySQL.
McMMO records stats but all commands come up as "unknown console command" anyone?

 

I don't know if you ever found a way to stop chimerawing's right-click feature from working, but I figured out a sure way to make it not work. Edit MCMMO's config.yml:

With such a high cost, the server seems to default to whatever other use you have configured for right-clicking a feather.

 

skill taming seems to is bugged increse itselef randmly, also sword experience is incresed also when a mob is killed, his texture stay on the floor and player continuos hitting it!

anybody else has this usses?
