Ever thought those people with God Mode seemed to full of themselves, reveling in their invulnerability? Now anyone with the correct permissions can kill them, despite their God Mode. Also useful as an admin tool.
This plugin should work in most circumstances, but i will not do any updating without some sort of request. I may add other Permission plugin support if requested.

Warning: Be aware that downloading this plugin with Opera causes problems. If you download the plugin and it isnt a .jar, try a different browser.

Features:

• Anyone with the correct Permissions node can kill anyone with God mode enabled.

Installation:
Just put GodKiller.jar in your plugins directory, it requires no configuration. It requires either Permissions or BukkitPermissions.


Permissions nodes:

• "gk.kill" Allows player to kill gods.

Works against:

• Essentials

These are the plugins i know it works against. If you try it and it works against another, please message me and i will add it to the list.

To those asking if it works with something or other: Try it! I cant test every single plugin, and unfortunantly due to the way some plugins work it turns into a fist fight between the two whether GodKiller will work. There is only one way i know of to give GK precedence over another plugin if that other has won, and that is to ask the developer to make a change. As i find plugins that GK doesnt work against, i will talk to their developers about modifieing their structure a bit.

 

Update the plugin to latest recommended build and change the title accordingly.
Failure to do so will result in this moving to INACTIVE section.

 

Unfortunantly i am on vacation and am incapable of testing for the new recommended version. I would appretiate being given time until i return.

god mode? wouldnt an admin first have to allow godmode for someone just to kill them? this is pointless

 

Owner gives god mode to his/her underlings then gives this to themselves? I see the use.

 

Why would i use this, if i didnt want them to be gods i would disable it and then kill them. Besides as an admin you can just kick them or whatever else to punish them.

On a side note which God Plugins have you tried this on??

 

Not pointless. Forgive me, i thought it was more obvious. You give someone god mode to defend against falls, cacti, mobs, and other players. They are all powerfull, but if you have permission, they can be killed by you, making them not as immortal. Also good if you want eveyone to be safe from everything except other players.

As i said above, the point is not just to kill them. The point is that they get the benefits of god mode in all scenarios except when an admin (or donator?) trys to kill them. I list the ones i have tested in the first post. Unfortunantly, i dont get home for three days, and i left before i could test much, so i have only tested with Essentials.

I see a use for some PVP action. Group called Bounty Hunters, can kill the people with god mode. Or something. Idk

EDit: ok I have Essentials with this plugin and it does not enable me to kill god like players

 

Ok, couple things to check.
1. You have the gk.kill permission
2. you are only running the essentials god feature
Which RB are you using?

 

will this work with the mcmmo god mode?

EDIT: What version of essentials are you using? and Permissions?

 

This doesn't seem to work with WorldGuard.
So if you could in any way get this working with WorldGuard i would love to use this plugin!

Interesting, i didnt actually know WorldGuard had a GodMode. I will try to fix that

This doesn't work, when i click download it just downloads a GodKiller.zip not .jar! What should i do?

 

I havent even made a zip out of it! Did you use the download link up there?
EDIT: Sorry, stupid question. Are you sure it is a zip? If it is, try unpacking it and see if for some reason it was inside.

 

It is named: "GodKiller.zip" theres inside of it: META-INF, net, README, and something
