    We will look into it, right now we dont think its supported but ill ask around.

    In other news, version 7.0 was released on our local testing server today. if all goes well and everything works i will have it to you guys tonight. As well as 3 models for better understanding of how it simple/complex it can go.

    Has anyone worked on a tax system for this econ plugin? I prefer to use BOSE but I haven't found a tax plugin that can go with it.

    Is it possible to add a tax system to BOSE itself?

    7.1 will have tax added. We are reworking how things work and this update ( 7.0 ) is one of those steps towards making it easier.

    I have had the new plugin ( 7.0 ) running on our servers for almost 2 days now and have had no problems. There are MANY MANY MANY changes. We even changed the way the core system works to set ourselves up for the next stage of the econ plugin. Some questions you might have:

    1) Does it still work right "out of the box"
    Yes, load the plugin into your plugins folder and it works!

    2) What major changes have you made?
    The most notable changes are the addition of many in-game commands, its not longer an integer system, and lastly we redid the entire file structure.

    3) What does this mean for API code?
    If you have an API that works with our econ system you will want to redo some small portions of the code so that it works with the new decimal system. Most plugins that support us already work... the only problem is they round up. So we need all plugin developers who have hooked into our plugin to work with the new API we have created to support the new structure.

    There are many other small changes. We are working to get the setup guides and a video on how it fully works soon. I am also going to create "template" config files for different types of econ systems. Our server has a feudal system that is VERY complex, but the beauty of this plugin is that it can work with the most complex and the most simple. I hope to have this all ready by the end of tomorrow.
     
  6. I download it and it gave me a zip which opens a folder, then i zip the folder then i rename it with .jar and put it in my plugin folder, it gave me this:

    Having a mac has no bearing on this. YOU HAVE to unrar the file. Get winrar for macs. I will upload the direct link for the .jar but honestly that shouldnt matter.

    Added the link for a .jar file and the .zip of the 7.0. There is no documentation on this as of right now so if you install this please realize its just there for people who CANT WAIT! I am working on making videos and template files... the API information was updated for all people who make plugins. Please change the way the code works according to the API information so that you are not running into the problem we have had with Blacksmith ( players can get repairs for free since it thinks we are an integer system only **which we are not anymore**)

    yep, everything has changed. There is a node for EVERY command.

    For now if you wish for them to get working just add .* to the end of the permissions you have set now. WE will have a new list up shortly, again your messing with the experimental build. :p

    @riuthamus I had asked this a few weeks ago and you said you were going to check on this and if it is still in development I will understand. Were you still planning on making this Multi-world capable so it would not have to be deployed server wide but just on one world ?

    Will .7 support making changes to users who are offline? We recently just started using BOSE and love it. But not being able to add players to brackets, pay them, set their money, add money, etc to users who are offline is a real annoyance.

    Edit: Also an option to remove the decimal to only allow whole numbers.

    0.7.0 allows modification of all existing users, regardless of whether they are online. The only exception to this is the pay command, which is intentionally designed to only target online players. The decimal point can be removed by setting the soon to come "fractional-digits" option to 0 in the settings file.

    We talked about this, since we created this it was not able to do so we never thought about it. In theory to do this now we would have to make a sub folder within the bosecon folder for each world and have configs based off of that. With our most recent updates the process has already gained in complexity 5 fold. I will speak with cosine later tonight and talk about how we might approach this. I want to support it but at what cost, is the only question i have right now.

    Fair enough. I would say that if you were to offer this as an option it would be a leap over Iconomy as they do not have this option either. I feel even though they have not spoken up about it that many server admins would like to offer a server that has an Econ world. My primary world is a creative world build what you want world as big as you want I do not restrict items, but on the RP world I built for a few of my users this would be an awesome option for them to have. Thank you again for getting back to me. I wish I knew java at all I mean I drink Java ( coffee ) ( yes that was funny ) but I do not program in it.

    I live in japan and am a military member. All of my work is done on the weekends. Today is saturday and thus my time to shine! I will be working on the final touches of the tutorial guides. In making the videos we found some bugs as well that are minor ( not really bugs, just things that wont work if you use a system like we do on our server ) So, we might try to push 7.01 today as well.

    Sorry if I'm intruding on anything, but I'm a noob here, so i was wondering if I was doing something wrong. My problem is that when I download the v6.2 .Zip file, there's no .jar, so I can't install the plugin. Help please?

    Just open the zip, within it there should be the .jar file

    I've tried that, but whenever I do the .jar appears briefly then just disappears. Is the file corrupted or something?

    Sounds like your computer is taken over by the goblins plugins some other guy made. Seriously that is something NOT related to our files or our plugin. You should get your computer checked.

    I've got a problem with your plugin, I'm using Permissions at my server. i've already add BOSEconomy.common* permission to Member group, but when I logged in as Member, when i type /econ nothing happens. When I'm in admin group it shows my my money, what I should do to allow normal Member to see his money?

    Ps. Sorry for my english.

    Are you literally using "BOSEconomy.common*" as the permission? Try it with a dot before the *, as in "BOSEconomy.common.*"

    It was "BOSEconomy.common.*". I just wrote it wrong. Problem solved by updating BOSEconomy to 7.0.

    7.1 update is out, Fixed some bugs that nobody probably would notice. I have a website im going to be releasing as well to help people with questions.

    Which permission lets a user do "/econ". I feel stupid but I can't find it.
