    ItemCraft
    Version:1.6.6
    [IMG]

    Description:

ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Features:
    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        Code:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        Code:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

I had a look at the mapping and its definitively messed up. The searge collumn should only have func_### names, I think you've mixed up that and mcp column. Also you have nulls in the searge column (that you've named mcp) in places where mcp name equals the searge name.

Edit: Otherwise looks ok. Not to waste all the time to align them, you might just be able to copy in the corresponding func_### names if they come in the right order in the methods table

Lol, yea.. They looked good late last night, but definitely don't function properly.

I used Fernflower to decompile all of these files, and I'm thinking that's one problem.

Although I never used fernflower, I don't think thats the problem, seeing it produces the function body signature columns nicely. I probably did screw up something when I converted the tool into an ICplugin. Makemapping has never been tested since I did that. Again I don't think your work was in vain, its just needs copying in the searge names.

I was trying to follow your posted tutorial on mapping them, and thought it was actually not too hard to do.
ICTranslator did not seem to have the same column ordering as in the pictured examples, so I rearranged them at the very start to try and match your layout.

It also put two columns on every other line unfortunately, and along with the embedded non-printables, it was a little bit tricky to merge together.

    salutwww

Is it normal that normal that when i put the Itemcraft.jar in the same folder than the Craftbukkit, I delete the META-INF, and I put the start file but when I start the server it start normally and it don't make the Itemcraft folder.

@QwertyPower I just looked over the code now and find that it converts searge name to mcp name. I was suspecting that you didn't provide the right path on one of those. But converting from searge means that the names in the vanilla is actually searge named. Something which i've simply forgot. They're named "vanilla" but they're actually the retroguarded vanilla, so what you need to do is to point it to that jar instead.

Edit: When you get the output, just overwrite the searge column so you don't lose the alignment work

Yea, I found out last night that it was particular about the files being in the correct folder placement and named, but I believe I used the final recompiled version(I think). Ill give it a try and see what happens.

    @asdaarg
In order to get the text to format properly last night, I had to run it through a lot of processing. Unfortunately, I cant recall what precisely I did to fix it. :0

So far, I'm not having much luck with it. Is it possible to make an extra setting for an output filename inside ICTranslator?

    Does Fancypack work with 1.7.2?
My server starts fine, and ICKSlopes work fine, but when i craft something from Fancypack, my client crashes (only in multiplayer).

What the hell is your FancyPackAdditions? Im confused. Since FancyPack doesnt work but this FancyPackAdditions does.. What does my server get to use with your modded Additions ICQFancy.jar?

I made a simple mod for myself awhile ago, and all it does is add some block types that I wanted to be able to build with. Since its purpose was purely cosmetic, I called it q(werty's)FancyPackAdditions.

It was never built for the purpose of sharing with the community. I released it merely as a test mod, since its difficult to debug bukkit, and even harder to debug my ItemCraft build without atleast one ICPlugin available.

The texture pack I use is Misa's [64x] Realistic Texture Pack, and all my new blocks are made for this resolution. In addition, I use the GLSL shaders mod for more advanced graphics, and created some blocks(Stacks of Iron, Gold, etc.) that look rather nice with the bump mapping effects.

For the purposes of updates that may potentially break my mod(or the HD mods), I quickly downsampled my pictures to [16x16], and put them into the main Minecraft client. Even though they look bad at this resolution, it keeps minecraft from crashing if I switch texture packs.

    It adds:
    Granite(first mod I translated actually),
    3 more Brick Colors,
    Decorative Cobblestone tiles,
    Pebbles(still as blocks although),
    Decorative Gold and Iron Blocks,
Iron, Gold, Redstone, and Diamond Bar Stacks(without the shaders mods, the effect is bad),
    False Stone Light source.

It shares no dependencies with FancyPack, and functions merely as an addition. You are free to keep it, hang onto it, or delete it, either is perfectly fine with me. :)

Recipes? Or how to use them? I would love to let my community use this.. I also use Misa's 64x64, and how do I get the Shaders going ?

The shaders are alittle more tricky(actually, significantly). I haven't looked to see if someone has posted a unofficial update for them, but the main post is located here:

im having the issue where you cant grab the items from workbench into inventory, i can see the craftable item ex. wheel. i can put the leather and iron and then see the wheel in the result box but it disappears, if im fast enough i can grab it but it just jumps back to the workbench

    [edit]

i reread your original post with the update. you said if i just have it installed on the client it wont allow me to pick items up.

ModLoader and ModLoaderMP(client) are required to run these.
In addition, another ModLoaderMP mod needs to be installed on the client.

this is a bit confusing for me, i have my single player plane mod working, so i have modloader and modloadermp, now in addition do you mean the single player minecraft.jar in the .minecraft? or to the craftbukkit jar?

also i have flanns installed correctly (aside from the not being able to get items in my inventory) do i need itemcraft in order for it to work, because im new at this mod and right now its in between updates and arent many tutorials out there and its all a bit confusing haha, i kinda got it but then i just read time out everytime i log in.

    [edit 3]
i installed the flans modloader to my crafftbukkit, now when i log in i just get a black screen
    this is without itemcraft installed

    [edit 4]
i copied over my files and installed item craft on another server. i got past the black screen login issue with the 16 bit thing, now my issue remain my first one, can make the blocks but still cant take them out of workbench into inventory

You still have nulls there. Did you set vanillajar to the retroguard processed minecraft.jar? Also the vanillasource should be the decompiled retroguard processed minecraft.jar

<font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">WARNING : After seeing some replies to this post I thought I'd insist on that : It is extremely important that you scrupulously follow every single step of this tutorial, as useless as it might seem to you. Should you skip a single detail or do something differently, I can't guarantee it will work. Actually, you can be sure it won't ! So unless you're an advanced user and know exactly what you're doing</font><font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">, STICK STRICTLY TO THE TUTORIAL.</font>

    Hi guys,

After 2 evenings of black screens, 230 errors and whatnot, i finally got superslopes to work on 1.7.3 multiplayer.

I usually am a selfish bastard who makes his shit work and doesn't mind the rest of the world, but considering how hard it was for me to get this thing to work and how frustrating the whole process has been, I though I'd share my experience with you so that you lessen the probability of ending up smashing your screen in mindless rage.

<font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">Before you start, you shall delete your .minecraft folder and relaunch minecraft.exe to get a clean client side folder. Don't forget to create a back up just in case</font>

First things first, save yourself a huge pain in your cubic butt trying to set your server up properly and download one that already is so that you can focus on the client side of things (You'll worry about transferring your worlds later) :

Grab the test server here : http://itemcraft-installation.wikispaces.com/

Open the craftbukkit953.jar and delete the META-INF folder (I'm actually not sur that this is mandatory, can someone please confirm it ?)

Open the .bat file and check if everything's alright, because if you're like me and like to install stuff (ie Java) where it's not supposed to be, there are good chances that the indicated path won't be correct. I don't have a lot of Java Knowledge so I'm not sure why there's so much stuff going on in the original .bat, but I decided I didn't like it, deleted everything and went for the much simpler:

    Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "D:\Java\bin\"java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit953.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    pause

Just adjust the path to make it match your Java bin folder and the craftbukkit file in the folder and your server is good to go. Launch it once, wait for it to load, stop it, close it.

Don't even try to launch a MP game to check if everything's alright at that point, it won't work at all. As long as the server launches properly you're fine, and as long as you followed my instructions there's no reason for it not to work.

    <font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">END OF THE SERVER SIDE STUFF ! YAY !</font>

Ok, now moving on to the serious things. *Epic Meal Time music playing in the background*

<font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">Remember, from now on, we're not adding anything to the server anymore, so if you somehow end up interacting with your server folder, you're doing something wrong.</font>

Download this : <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

This is a beautiful pack I made for you. Each piece of it is the intellectual property of its respective coder of course, I just bundled everything to make it nice and easy for everyone but if any of the owners of these mods feel offended about this whole thing I'll remove it and give individual links to the threads for every single file.

Unpack everything. you should have 6 rars, one for each mod needed here :

    1 - Modloader
    2 - ModloaderMP
    3 - Turbo Model Thingy
    4 - Planes
    5 - Superslopes
    6 - 16bits entity id packet

The number in front of each mod corresponds to the order in which you should proceed, it will appear like this in the rar I made for you, so you really can't go wrong unless you can't count to 6 or you're really trying to make me cry cubic tears.

    Number 1 to 3 :
    - Start> Type %appdata%> Go to Roaming/.minecraft/bin.
    - Open your minecraft.jar with a decent unzipper (I used WinRar).
    - Delete the META-INF folder
    - Unzip the content of these 3 first mods into your minecraft.jar

Number 4 (Planes) : I can't go into details, but the client side of this mod seems to be required to make the whole thing work.
    - Extract the content of "resource files" into the .minecraft/resources folder
    - Extract the content of "jar files" into your minecraft.jar the same way you did for steps 1-3
    - Extract planes.txt to the .minecraft folder

<font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">Now, run minecraft, log in to the main menu and exit. This will generate some files and folders in your .minecraft</font>

Number 5 : Place the whole .zip file in the freshly generated .minecraft/mods folder

Number 6 : Extract the two class files into your minecraft.jar

    Now :

    - Go back to your ICServer
    - Launch the .bat file
    - Launch Minecraft and join your server
    - Hopefully, it works. Chop a tree, get a workbench and try to craft ceiling stairs to test superslopes. But if you made it past the connection to the server I fail to see why it wouldn't work.
    - Transfer your existing worlds to your new server if you want to.
    - Live happily ever after (well, until the next update fucks everything up again)

I sincerely hope this wall of text will help anyone willing to use this brilliant mod. I'll stick around to answer any questions but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to java stuff so probably others will help you better than I can.

I hope everything is fully understandable, I'm french so I apologize for any mistakes made, and if there's something here that doesn't make sense somehow, ask me and i'll try to put it differently.

I give up! You Modders ruined it! What a bunch of failbob's.

Modding the game is one side of the medallion, but not being able to write an intuitive description is in my eyes pure failness. That's why people write the same questions again and again, while the thread ends up with 118 pages. (Aside the damn update requests)

Lindrack's post is the first one, that really helps, because even asdaargs own mod description is not quite helpfull.
So a big thanks to you Lindrack! Even if your description still leaves some questions unanswered for me, like: Does it have to be the plane's mod, or can it be a mod with a little less id's wasted, because I don't gonna use that mod. Or like: Is the "mods" folder now being used or not, if you install mods like industrial craft?

Nevertheless, I now have something to work with, thanks again Lindrack!

Been watching this thread with interest for the past week or so... and frankly I'm confused as hell. Basically I want SuperSlopes, Shelves and a couple of other SSP mods to work with Bukkit, but cannot for the life of me get anything to work when it comes to ItemCraft. I've downloaded ItemCraft 1.6.1, using CB953, changed my startup script accordingly, performed all the modifications as per the instructions, and every single time, CraftBukkit refuses to start. The best result I've had is CraftBukkit starting up, but spewing a ton of errors before basically ignoring ItemCraft and acting the same as it does without it. So I'm giving up until there is a better solution, so I'll be continuing to keep an eye on this thread. Good luck with it all :)
