THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE FOR MINECRAFT RELEASED IN OCT 2013

    Show Spoiler

    Update - July 1, 2011 at 3:01PM EST:
Minecraft 1.7.2 contains a dupe exploit that will ruin your economy or could create other issues. We strongly recommend waiting for a fix from either Mojang or ourselves before updating.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

We're pleased to announce our fastest update ever, and we've just made our 1.7.2 compatible build of CraftBukkit available to download as a recommended build here.

For those who are interested, we had a 1.7 update ready for testing within 15 minutes of 1.7 being launched. That's compared to hours or even days we usually take! 1.7.1 was ready within 10 minutes, and 1.7.2 was ready in just under 10.

We'd like to thank you all for helping us test these out, and rest assured we're trying everything we can to make these even faster for the future!

Disabled all plugins and it didn't seem to make a difference.. I'm also running sun java's x64 version.

Hoping so.. usually these bugs don't last long, but they're always a pain while they're here :)

Anyone else noticing a abnormal amount of read time out errors? Not sure if its a plugin or bukkit, but its happening since 1.7.2

Run java -version and paste everything it says.

Also, have you looked at top/iostat to see if the problem is somewhere else? Run both of those right as it's happening. Take some screenshots for later analysis. Post them here if you like, maybe I can help.

    Well, 1.7.3 is here.

I think this update will take a little longer, since most bukkit devs are still asleep in the US of A...

    Beta 1.7.3 - July 8

    Bug Fixes:
    • Corrected a block duplication bug when using pistons.
    • Corrected a redstone torch duplication bug when using pistons.
    • Corrected a client crash when placing a sign in front of the piston, powering the pistonand then removing the block beneath the sign.
    • Ice blocks are now pushed without causing water streams breaking everything.
    • Booster rails are no longer being powered magically without a power source .
    • Pistons connected to the end of a piston transistor via redstone are now properly closed when the power goes out.
    • Doors no longer create purple particles.
    • Hacking clients can no longer edit texts of placed signs in multiplayer .
    • Changed so that paintings pushed by pistons will pop off.
Hopefully, the new bugs do not appear. :)

7.1.3 can still be used by clients when the servers downgraded 7.1.2 thank god =P, Being in Australia I will have to wait overnight for Bukkit to catch up.
    Theres some neat fixes though,

I heared from a user that Build 953 is compatible to 1.7.3

It is, but one would assume that you'd need to update the server to 1.7.3 to make use of the bug fixes.

So I take it that because 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 are both compatible with Bukkit #953, plugins shouldn't break when bukkit updates right?

Just a heads up to people upgrading to 1.7.3, pistons can still crash the server.

    By reading the above posts.

I uploaded the latest Jar and updated the server. But maybe a dumb question, the server still showing the 1.7.2. version? Also on my local (test) server and the same 1.7.2, not when I run the Jar by itselfs. I assume that is normal? :)

^ because there isn't a 1.7.3 bukkit version yet? Idk

Btw it works with a 1.7.2 client because the server doesn't like check for 1.7.3, it checks for Notchs version number which is for 1.7 13 I believe and doesn't change on minor updates. So the server just asks for the version number, client tells 13 and the server believes it's a 1.7.2 client aswell :p

The build is red meaning something failed. It probably hasn't been ported/patched yet.
