    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Anyone any good at adding entities like mo's creatures did? I've been trying to port brain slimes but I have one bug I just can't seem to get rid of. When you kill one of the slimes they split, but the split slimes are invincible and don't deal any damage. If you log out those split slimes disappear and it was like they were never there.

    If anyone feels up to it can someone look at what I have and see what I'm missing?

    Have the same Problem with Shears and Chisel. But as its not doing any damage i would call it a minor bug.

    So this is the ModLoaderMPMod that will be integrated in ItemCraft if i read right?

    "c:\\oo\\mod\\" file "c:\\oo\\translatedmod\\" file translate1 <--- This part goes into Itemcraft's gui. If you go to the init.ic you need to uncomment the 3 lines there that are commented out with a #. After that start your server and the gui will pop up with a command line where you can enter that code.

    You press enter and it will translate most of the code for you. It will show the process in the command prompt for the server. After that if there were no errors then it should be in the translatedmod folder.

    There is just the translatedmod folder create and, it is empty :s

    In my folder "oo" I have :
    mod // folder that contains 2 sub folders : java and bin. Java contains the sources (.java) of my minecraft.jar and bin contains minecraft_rg.jar

    Is there any way to get this to work with SimpleServer? I don't have high hopes, since both Bukkit and ItemCraft involve loading alternate .jar files, but I really don't want to lose SS's functionality. Is there a way to load both Craftbukkit and ItemCraft with Simpleserver?

    This is my plugin.ic :
    This is my init.c :
    This is my oo folder : folder.png
    - mod contains my mod ( 2 files ) : mod_mymod.java and blockMyBlock.java
    - minecraft.jar its my minecraft.jar with mod_mymod and ModLoader


    And, after have run my serveur (with run.bat)
    mod_mymod Loaded and Craftbukkit.

    This is the gui of ItemCraft : it.png


    So, I type that : "C:\\oo\\mod\\" file "C:\\oo\\translatedmod\\" file translate1
    And......... NOTHING :'(
    Just the translatedmod folder is creates and it's empty.
    no errors in the console, nothing.

    Please help me.

    What does your java folder contain? I'm pretty sure your mod folder is suppose to have the .class files not the .java. After you run your translate.bat it should make the .java files in there.

    The java folder contain all the file in .java of minecraft.jar (the java folder creates after run translate.bat)

    Yes that is how it works. Then you need to open up your java IDE and correct anything that didn't get translated correctly, the guide tells you where to go next. For an IDE there is eclipse or netbean.

    Did you install the 16 bit entity mod listed in the first post?

  21. Have you installed the 16bit entity mod - available from HERE.
    Drag the 2 files into the root of your minecraft.jar, the same as you would any other mod.

    I've not used Simple server, so I don't know how it works - I assume it can load the bukkit.jar on its own ? If so, download the test server from HERE and take the jar file from there - should work OK for you.

    Just looked at it really quick doesn't seem totally finished as far as I can tell. The .add stuff isn't in the ItemCraftInit method. That is at least one problem I can see right off the back. To lazy to code tonight maybe tomorrow or someone else can pick it up, but with 1.7 coming out soon it won't matter too much.

    Looked at it again and tested it again. Clock is running fine. Can only be a Conflict with another Mod maybe. There are no Errors for me and i treid a few combinations now.
