I haven't watched much of the video myself, but I have pointed a few people to it when they have needed help.

Don't be surprised with no comments - We are still grateful for you taking the time do make the video :)

It's a good tutorial, but I don't see why anyone would want to run an SQL server on windows. I could see people doing SQLwith bukkit servers running on Linux, but on windows, it's just....nasty. You get weird problems (like how the video mentions Skype not working).

Though to be honest, I don't know why anyone would want to run a MC server in windows anyway. I know why they would do it, but I can't see anyone actually wanting to do it.

Still, for those few brave souls who decide to use SQL and bukkit together on a Windows machine, for whatever reason, this is a useful tutorial.

I run all of my clients on a Windows machine, purely because I am very experienced with Windows...

I'm not sure why anyone would need a MySQL server for Bukkit. The overhead isn't worth it in most cases.

There's a few mods that make use of it. Most importantly (to me anyway) would be BigBrother which just screams for the need of MySQL.

Make use of is not the same as needing. BigBrother would be an example of a plugin where you may need it, but only if you have a fair amount of users. SQLite would be a decent alternative for under 20 players.

Not really. Its not based on the amount of player you have but the amount of data that you sqlite db will have the bigger the more lag your gonna get. It doesnt take long to fill it up too.

    More players = more data.

For a plugin like Big Brother, the dev could have the database prune old data - it doesn't need to grow very big.
