    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    If anyone wants to try and fix this or tell me what I did wrong with this is be great. I'm probably missing a ton a things or something...This is for the brain slimes. It will load up on the server but it won't spawn them properly and will crash the server if you go to the nether to find them.

    It's translated already and attempted to port it. So if it's to messy to bother with just tell me. I also added the render.java file. I didn't touch that because I wasn't even sure if that was needed. I was going off of what mo' creatures looked like.

    I have created a mod and, I would like started in multiplayers but, I don't understand how translate my mod to ICraft.
    My minecraft.jar is good, my mod is good in singleplayer.
    I took my minecraft.jar that contains my mod, I moved it in a new folder on my computer.
    I download "retro". I launch translateMCP.bat and i have this :
    But now, i don't what i do... Please help me..

    Can you just make the whole folder and add somewhere in there the minecraft.jar folder too?

  7. This is showing a conflicting ID, which is a common problem when using all of the origional plugins together. If you download this file from HERE.
    It contains 3 files. Put the 'plugins.ic' and the 'oldcript.ic' into your Itemcraft/ICScripts folder on your server overwriting whats there, and the Moretrees.props file in your .minecraft folder on your local machine overwriting whats there. Restart your server and it should now start OK - and please consider using the 'Code' button (its in the row of icons at the top of the window where you type these messages) to put your error reports into, otherwise a single post like this can take up an entire page on the thread.

    I have created a mod and, I would like started in multiplayers but, I don't understand how translate my mod to ICraft.
    My minecraft.jar is good, my mod is good in singleplayer.
    I took my minecraft.jar that contains my mod, I moved it in a new folder on my computer.
    I download "retro". I launch translateMCP.bat and i have this :

  14. OK, no problem.
    Start by downloading the file by clicking on the word HERE. This will download a file called Moretrees2.zip to your computer. Open this file up and you will see 3 files in it
    1) plugins.ic
    2) oldscript.ic
    3) Moretrees.props

    Now, where ever you have your Minecraft server installed and running from, there will be a folder in the server called 'Itemcraft'. if you double-click Itemcraft, and inside there will be a couple of folders, one of which is called ICScripts.
    If you find this folder, all you have to do is copy the plugins.ic and the oldscript.ic files into it. If you get asked to replace a file thats already in this folder, do so.
    The Moretrees.props file is the last file. Now, I assume you are using Windows of some description. Since I also assume you have at some point modded your minecraft.jar file, I assume you know about the .minecraft folder. Your minecraft.jar file is in the .minecraft/bin folder. All you need to do is copy the Moretrees.props file into the .minecraft folder. There will already be a file of the same name in there (assuming you've installed the Moretrees mod on your machine), so you just replace it.

    Not to my knowledge - that type of question is best put on the minecraft forum to the developer of the mod (when the forum server is back up that is)
    In the meantime, the only suggestion I can make is to limit the size of the tree. If you are using the oldscript.ic file in your Itemcraft/ICSripts folder, then there may be a line in it :

    setint sequoia_maxsize 55

    If there is, you can substantially reduce (and maybe set to zero, although I haven't tried that) the size of this type of tree.
    I actually like them - they are huge ! and are good for landmarks if you've got a couple growing near you. They don't grow in great quantities anyway.

    If you are talking server-side, there is a test server available HERE.
    If you are talking client-side, then the inclusion of the minecraft.jar is not allowed - you would need to read the Minecraft rules about doing such a thing, which you can read HERE.

    Since upgrading to #928, when I load up ItemCraft none of my other plugs will load. Has anyone else experienced this? There aren't any errors when I load the server.

    Plugins I use:
    Appleseed
    WorldEdit
    AdminCmd
    BananaPortal

    Not a lot and my server is only for me and a couple friends on a virtual server that I putty into.

    Did you have these issues when running ItemCraft with CB860? If not, then try starting fresh with 928 and ItemCraft only, adding in ICPlugins one by one. Given everything starts OK, then start adding in your Bukkit plugins individually to see where the conflict lies. If however ItemCraft doesn't even start up on its own, you might want to roll back your other Bukkit plugins and wait at 860 until asgaard can update his end. Despite studying the 928 changelog I've done no testing with it, as I'm waiting until this plugin is officially 928-stamped by the author himself. It saves soo many headaches and hours niggling with things to make them work.

    Also, error reports (if any) would help too <3

    Me and my friend wanted to play Mo' creatures on our server as we have built a huning ground that we wanted to put deer and bears to hunt in.

    but, when we install the mod successfully the server crashes and we can't connect to it again as minecraft just gets a black screen. We can easily connect to singleplayer but his server just won't be connected to. The only way to solve the issue is to reinstall minecraft.

    Anyone give me some help here as to what we're doing wrong?

    The 928 build broke a lot of plugins, so this is because of the update, the cause is not within ItemCraft. You have to wait for these plugins to be updated.

    Do you have GUIapi, Audiomod, Mo' Creatures and the 16 bit entity mod installed in your minecraft.jar?
    And do you have the newest version of the ICMCreatures plugin, version 0.1.2?

    Just to check, since you can also install Mo' Creatures in the mod folder, did you really put everything into the minecraft.jar, instead of copying the zip to your mods folder? Since that last method doesn't work with ItemCraft, at least asdaarg said so.

    It like with all other Mods. You cant /give yourself Items and TMI doesnt work in MP too.
    But the Mod works fine. Have it installed on my Server too and my Users are Building a Ghosttown now. :p

    I have some good news. @krnlyng/liar has contacted me and tells me he has ported ModloaderMP as well as some mods using it (e.g. the planes mod) , using the same method I'm using (mapping methods and fields) and suggested we combine our works. So what this means is that those mods which already support MP but not bukkit can be ported much faster, and I don't have to port ModloaderMP which I was about to going to do to support GUI and stuff fully, but I don't really have much time for that.

    okay, what does this mean? bukkit loads the mods as it should
    followed the tutorials for myself to get the mods (dragged modloader, audiomod, guiapi to minecraft.jar) and then placed resources and mods into .minecraft
    im using mos creatures.

    all the time i get spammed with this message in the console. what's happening?
    also, there's no hostile mobs spawning

  31. They are all for Minecraft 1.6.6 - the version numbers you are seeing refer to the Itemcraft version, not Minecraft version.
