Jail

This plugins adds Jail to your minecraft server. Admins can define several jails and then jail/unjail people or jail them on time basis. Plugin also offers wide variety of protections, so players won't escape out of your jail.

well i set canprisoneropenhischest: to true (he cant open his chest but everyone can open chests again!) so i got it to work fine!

now i have 1 more issue:

sometimes the sign (For Cells) Will Not Clear And i have to redo the cells all over again to get it to clear!

 

Then your Permissions plugin get disabled. Do you get anything on your console?

No one can use /jailstatus

only ops can!

i have the node jail.usercmd.jailstatus in the defaults group and still no go!

 

Hope I'm not putting this in the wrong area, just have a request/suggestion for the plugin. One of my admins jailed a few people today and I noticed there is no way to see who has been jailed short of checking the database.

A command that shows a list of jailed prisoners would be nice.

 

Uh you did see the command list? Especially /jailcheck ?

 

Ugh I'm blind, I did check the list but just looked right past that.

I don't think, that Croyd searched for /jailcheck. Or do you want to check all players on your server with this command. On my point here: Please add something like this

@Croyd Your post here was completly right (as long as you use this plugin, to jail players). Although for my plugins I would like, if feature requests/bugs are posted on the issue tracker (I did this for us).

Huh? But jailcheck does exactly that? With an argument it tells you the status of a certain player, without it you see all jailed players (and their jail length). This has been in since the first version! (sort of, it isnt new at least)

 

No? jailcheck, checks if somebody is jailed, but not who is jailed. It's like you want to know all cities in an area. You could use citycheck and check all cities if the city is in the area, OR you could simply ask which cities are in an area.

/jailcheck did give me a list of prisoners when I did it by itself but the commands documentation did say check specified prisoner and had the usage as /jailcheck [player name].

That is what made me not think to try it.

Good to go now, looked through the list and saw a couple that didn't deserve being jailed.

Had help and create as prisoners.

At least now if someone logs in with help or create as their name, now they will be safe from going to jail hehe.

 

You really should add permissions so that when a player is jailed they are placed into a certain group and vice versa when they are released

Ask author of the stairdrop plugin to add cancelled check into his plugin. I cannot do anything if he does not check if event was cancelled.
(also @thestriker095) Oops, use jail.command.jailstatus until fix.
For doors, you need to remove door block (64), not the door item (324).
I cannot do much about TNT. I just cancel event, bukkit does rest of the work.
Will check cells, and chests issue.

@watersebby i have played with permission for 1.2, but have stopped after seeing global/per-world mess. Maybe i will included that in v1.3. Please add that to issue tracker, so i will not forget

its possible to add an option so the jail countdown will run even when the player is offline..?
I would like to use this plugin instead for "temporary ban",.. so I could "Jail" player for a week,...
but he don't have to be online for the whole time....

 

This plugin is for jailing specifically. If you want a plugin for temporarely banning someone from your server try:

Can we have them to pay in Items? I would love to make them harvest Wheat to pay their Fines. So Rich Players couldnt just bail out.

 

I thought about that,.... but I like when the prisoners are like circus attraction for the other players,.... and they have an opportunity to talk about what they done inGame.
I know very little about programming, but it shouldn't be so hard to add an option to "countdown offline players"... just somehow set in the plugin, that the jailed players are constantly online,....

 

How can i jail a player in a specific cell?

 

I just updated to the jail 1.2 and am loving it. I did run into the open chest problem though.
I've setup my jail and it works perfectly, puts their items in the chest and they can't access them.
But now all my standard players can't access their chests.

My solution for that is to just set the default group with the jail.openchest permission and have all others inherit it.

This may be what was intended in the first place but the description says permission to open prisoners chests.
I'm wondering if this could be a clash of plugins. My moderators and even my semi moderators who have the lwc admin permission can still access their chests but nobody else could till I added the jail.openchest permission.

I would have submitted this as a bug but I was wondering if I'm just setting something up incorrectly.

Hello again. I use MultiVerse to play on multiple worlds. I can only use the /jailcreate or any jail command in my creative world but in my main, adventure world`s i am not able to use the command so can create a jail. No error appear, after typing in the command just nothing happens. could you fix this please?

No. It starts up fine. I REALLY need to use MyWarp and MyHome. I can't do anything, because my dad downgraded my account to a LIMITED on his PC. I'll fix that.

If the name of your jail starts with a capital letter you have to write its name in small letters though. For example if you want to create cells for a jail you named "Tower" you have to write "/jailcreatecells tower"

 

It seems you release a new version every couple of days. I will try the neweset. (How do I add those Permission nodes?)
