I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

hmm must be another lot of strange bugs that appeared ever since 1.6 for me.

Lol get this Notch nether does not even work for me fresh install of any bukkit or plugins or anything it craps out at loading generation. On top of tat some of my sqlite suffer from resets of databases.. all since 1.6.6 in 1.5 sever was flawless.

Is there a way to check who opened a chest, I turned chest logging on

    DiddiZ

    Disable dumpDeletedLog :D
True, 1.6 introduduced some old bugs. Good thing 860 fixed most of them, but also introduced a nagging flare-up of mined blocks ... Hm, nether works fine for me
No. For what you'd need that?

Um, not quite sure what you mean. Is there any console output, like "queve overloaded"?
    Think to:
    /lb rollback diddiz 5 minutes
    got replaced by:
    /lb rb player diddiz since 5 m
and you get the same result as

    /lb world
    now with:
    /lb sum p

Looks like it appears when some player with, for example, nick "SomeNick" login as "sOmenicK", just the same nick with case-changed letters

Sorry if this got reported elsewhere and I missed. If someone places redstone, it gets logged as "player did a unspecified action".

  13. Offline

    DiddiZ

Hm, tested it, found it doesn't matter when I use case-changed letters, since the server gets the name from minecraft.net with correct capitals.
You are right. I'll notify bukkit team about. The event provides the redstone item id rather than the block id.

Neh, I am still getting a load of those Que messages.

I got this at the moment:
How should I configure it like that, so I won't get those messages anymore..?

Like if someone steals from a chest you can see who opened it

Chestlogging actually should tell who took what out :D

    Ok what is the command?

If you use a stick on the chest it should tell you everything that was added/removed.

None of the commands are working for me. But this may answer it. I found this inside of LogBlock.Jar in the plugin.yml
    name: LogBlock

Some time after starting the server LogBlock works but then does not work. Yes, the error queve overloaded" appears after you stop the server."

    DiddiZ

That's how the plugin.yml is supposed to look like.
Are u missing "/lb" before each command?
    Like "/lb player diddiz"
    Disable "consumer.useBukkitScheduler"

  23. Offline

    sy7hf7tgtgrf

Yeah I do. i do use /lb NONE of the commands work. Btw Why arnt there ANY commands in the Plugin file?

  24. Offline

    DiddiZ

    There is a command: "lb:"
In that case, LB most likely disable itself at startup due to inproper config. Look at the error log.

    sy7hf7tgtgrf

Stupid Question, wheres the error log?
Edit: is it the Server Log Cause this is what may be the problem:

2011-06-12 15:30:05 [SEVERE] [LogBlock] Error while fetching connection

Ok when I hit a chest with a stick it just shows an LWC message like "this chest is locked by you" It doesnt say who took what out.

  31. Offline

    rbos

Ditto; LWC seems to capture the chest access event and doesn't let it through to logblock.
