    Plugin category: MobCap

    Minecraft version: 1.15.2

    Suggested name: MobCap Change

    What I want: Raise/lower the mobcap depending on the online players on the server. In the morning, not a lot of players are on the server, so the mobcap could be raised up to allow all the spawners to work at full speed. However in the afternoon, there's around 20 players online and the mobcap has to be lowered for the server not to crash. All will need to depend on the real-time amount of people that are on the server. It only applies to hostile mobs.

    Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin. It should be automatic and shouldnt need anyone to control it.

    Ideas for permissions: None

    When I'd like it by: Whenever

    This is the plugin

    You can configure the amount of hostile mobs that can spawn per player per world.

    Command: /mcreload - this command reloads the config - Permission: mobcap.reload

    I have the actual plugin for MobCap change, is it possible to make it change automatically when a server reaches a certain amount of players online?

    My bad, I just changed the per player mob cap to true. Can you base the plugin on something like:
    If online >= 10:
    then decrease mob cap to ...
    Elif online < 5:
    then increase mob cap to ...

    Delete the old config and let the plugin generate the new one. Now the plugin will start to decrease the spawn rate when the value set in the config for the players online is hit or passed. You can can configure how many hostile mosb will spawn while the spawn is decreased or increased

    If you want per-player mob caps, which is a step further, Paper supports this by default now.

    Also, gochi, does it only count hostile mobs?

    It appears that after some tests, the mobcap stays at the lower value set.
