Custom name color plugin

So I cannot find any good--or working for that matter--name color plugins for a server that I am Developer on.

Minecraft version: 1.8.8 to 1.15.2

Suggested name: SimpleColor

What I want: I would like to have a username color plugin that donors can use to change their color of their username. know /nick for EssentialsX works but then you can change your displayname, not just your name color. With the name color plugin, you can’t change your display name of course. I have seen name color plugins on other servers, but they were custom made.

Ideas for commands:

• /name [color code][format code]
• Ex. "/name &4&l" - SuperMouse_
• /name [username with codes] [format]
  • Ex. "/name &4Super&5Mouse&4_ bold" - SuperMouse_
  • Or "/name &1Sup&9erM&3ou&bse_ italic” - SuperMouse_
• /male — gives players a light green (&a) name
• /female — gives players a pink/light purple (&d) name
  • Yes I know those are stereotypes and such but it encourages our players to donate for more colors
• /normal — gives players a grey (&7) name
• /nc reset — resets config and plugin

Ideas for permissions:

• nc.* — All permissions of course
• nc.color — Able to only use any color for the name color, no bold italics etc.
• nc.color.format — Able to use both color codes and format codes
• nc.color.multiple — Able to use multiple colors in their name
• nc.male — Able to get a light green name
• nc.female — Able to get a pink/light purple name
• nc.normal — Able to get a grey name

When I'd like it by: Any time within 2 months (not sure how long it would take)

 

Please try and use the format for plugin request. Like what version, by what time, ect.

You say this but in the commands that you've seen in other plugins. /name [username with codes] [format code]
Your example clearly voids the point of the plugin.

There is no "/nc reset" command because it isn't needed.

So when a player logs off/relogs whatever, their name color resets to normal. Is there a way you could create a storage system of some sort to save name colors?
