Question Skript...GUI

How can I make a gui(menu) with script. I have looked at many others and they don't work...
This is one I have previously done and it doesn't work:

command /menu:
    trigger:
            open chest with 1 rows named "Wumfie" to player
            format slot 0 of player with log named "&aFirst Item"
            format slot 8 of player with fire named "&cClose Menu" to close
