    ItemCraft
    Version:1.6.6
    [IMG]

    Description:

ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Features:
    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        Code:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        Code:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

1.0 has almost all essential features implemented now but some features are still not alpha tested. One feature missing still is a reasonable way to parse strings. Currently it parses anything that is not a defined function, number or boolean as a string. This is sometimes useful when you are parsing something that you would treat as an identifier, but the script treats it as a string. At other times it might be counterproductive, such as when you mistype a function name that returns a string and it becomes a string instead. So I'm considering limiting it to certain cases by defining an identifier type that is parsed as a string, but it will cost me more time again. It is however low priority for me so I wont be implementing it any time soon unless you guys request it. I need however a different type of parsing strings. I don't particularly like the citation mark and slash escape way of doing it. I prefer typing a customizable string at the start that terminates the parsing eg:
    Code:
    XX this is
    a "test"XX

    will result in the string:
    Code:
    this is
    a "test"

    Anyone have a better idea?

    Hello :)
I played with this mod and my players love it :)

    Here is the Question,
Can you make this mod 1.6.5 compatible withe craftbukkit 815 or so?
Or did you wait for the first stable release of craftbukkit?

Thank you very much for this great mod <3

I'm waiting for a recommended version. It takes some time to update because I've modded several files.

Not remembering that water mobs are broken, I gave myself some fish and shark eggs while testing this mod and threw them into water to see what would happen. Well, what happens is now whenever I log in after some time I get

[SEVERE] java.lang.VerifyError: (class: net/minecraft/server/EntityCustomWM, method: c_ signature: ()V) Bad access to protected data

And then I get disconnected and can't reconnect. If I stop the server everything's fine, but this makes actually playing on this map kind of impossible for me.

Is there some way I can remove whatever it is that's causing this error from the map? I tried deleting my player file from the world but that didn't help.

Hehe, always wanted to say that. It's a tricky situation you've got yourself into. I don't know much about this, but if you have time you could always use MCEdit to transfer your creations to a new world (if you used a seed, the same seed), which would fix it. I don't know anything else to do.

Have you intalled on your client Modloader, SuperSlopes and the 16-bit PATCH in the root of your minecraft.jar?
Is there an error when connecting to your server on your client?

1.0 will be out in short, probably tomorrow if not today. I'm doing the final testings to see if I can set it up to decompile and compile through the startup script.
Edit: I intend to release one version first for 1.5.2 and then work on a version for 1.6.6 unless it turns out to be unplayable too. You'll never know.

I get this error regardless of using 766 or 803, and I can make KSlopes by itself run just fine under 766 and 803. MoCreatures and FancyPack though, no dice. I'm using the correct run.bat, no other plugins for this setup (though with some of the minor mods I installed I ended up with the exact same error messages), and for both server versions I get the 'corrupt craftbukkit' error when I delete, replace, or merge the META-INF file with ItemCraft's. All my .txt files are written correctly too - I've watched srthd's YouTube video probably 25 times now and have read through as many posts in this thread as I can, Googled etc., and same result. I've been as meticulous as I'm capable of trying to make this work the last two nights, and I'm stumpled completely. Anyone have any suggestions please? Thank you.

    --edit--

.. and I just read the post above about 1.0 being out shortly for 1.52, so I'll hang loose until then and see if it fixes my problem. If anyone would like to dole some advice anyhow, I'd greatly appreciate it :) Thanks!

janino and jode support will be withdrawn from 1.0 and instead be supported by plugins. This way it doesn't hog up the main jar which is already quite big. It will also give me more time to develope on them, as currently the support is mere proof of concept of decompiling and recompiling a class from CB. 1.0 will hence be released in short. New features includes a GUI and a new functional scripting language with tons of functions.

I'm sure as long as you don't circumvent the copyright protection device (The login method for the client) / you create an application that allows the user to verify through the official minecraft auth (if people trust you enough to use it) it's alright. Also you could really just create a binary diff patcher to inject your altered code, thus not redistributing any modified Notch code. I've noticed also the license doesn't contain any definitions in Layman's terms of what a "plugin" is.

Can't wait to see how this will work.

    2.9.4

1.0 is finally out. Full of undocumented features :p

Edit: For those who can't wait for the documentation to come up, you can see a full list of functions in the GUI (actually there's two lists) and if you figure out how to look for them, you'll find more. And more...

    Notes:
    - KSlopes 0.1.2 will not work with IC 1.0 - you have to update it.
    - You will notice that there is a rearrangement of folders. So move your folders in. Be careful with your world that you don't lose the new blocks near spawn in each world. If a plugin that enables those blocks is not started, you will lose those blocks. To be on the safe side, back up your world or do it with a test world. until you can see all plugins are loaded
    - The new startup file is now called init.ics in ItemCraft folder under craftbukkit. When it is autocreated, it will have all plugin names commented out, so it will not start the plugins. If you want to avoid using a testworld/backup world, you can simply create the file yourself:
    Code:
    use package com.asdaarg.bukkit.itemcraft
    use package net.minecraft.server
    use class ItemCraft

    ## Uncomment Plugins you want to use:
    #plugin KSlopes.jar
    #plugin ICFancyPack.jar
    #plugin ICMCreatures.jar
    #plugin ICNTrees.jar
    #plugin ICJanino.jar
    #plugin ICJode.jar

    ## Comment to turn off GUI:
    GUI
    class ItemCraft
    class ICS

      • QuantityDropped=<int>
      • Slipperiness=<float>

If you want to use the Kaevoator slopes plugin:
    • All players on the server needs to have Kaevator SuperSlopes mod on their clients.
    • If you want to disable some blocks:
      Put this in plugins.ic:
      Code:
      "kss.ic" includeold

      and in kss.ic

you can type the <block name>=0 before plugin KSlopes.jar
      where <block name> is <material><type>
      Materials: Wood,Cobblestone,Glass,Sandstone,Dirt,Stone,Sand,Snow,Grass,Bricks,Gravel,Gold,Steel,Obsidian,Diamond
      Types: Slope,Corner,ICorner
Or if you want to disable all except a few, type config disable, and then add the types you want to have:
      <block name>=<id>
where id is the id that the block uses (check Kaevator's page for defaults)

That's probably because the plugin that supports the items in your inventory did not start, which happens if you autgenerate the folders and startup file.

Janino is a java compiler, and Jode is a java decompiler. I might delay the release of these plugins because I discovered something very funky about Janino, and want to try it out. It opens up new avenues, regarding automatic translation.
