Hello everyone, my name is emericask8ur. I developed a popular plugin during 2011- 2013 called "SideKick". I am getting tonnns of notifications and direct messages asking to update, fix issues, and continue on with the project. SideKick had over 118,125+ downloads (Not counting forum downloads/other websites!!). Its currently rank #240 on the most downloaded plugins of all time on Curse.
If anyone would like to continue this project please let me know. It was made so long ago when my Java skills weren't as good, so remaking or overwriting code will probably be needed! ;)

PS. If anyone would like to continue ANY of my old projects please also let me know!

    Thanks

    I would love to help!
I have made 3 plugins and I have a pretty good understanding of Java. For Bukkit, I am pretty good at that as well.
I think I have the qualities to help.

Really hate to be mean here, but I just want to make sure you know what you're getting into...
Judging by your 3 plugins (Yet again, I mean no offence here, just clarifying stuff (And I'm only judging, you could be an expert for all I know)) you seem to have a limited knowledge of Bukkit at least. Your no swear, only by quickly glances seems to listen to NoCuss plugin for an event to be fired and then you send a message? (Yet again, correct me if I'm wrong, just a quick glance) And then your other plugin just changes /reload to /rl (Which Bukkit by default has an alias for that) and you changed the message.
Yet again, I mean no offence.

It seems that you make/maintain very basic stuff. SideKick is a massive and difficult plugin. It has economy, world generation, minigames, etc. If you handle it correctly it could be an amazing learning experience (I personally learned from working on an RPG plugin), but you could also do that because it's open source.

Yet again, I am not trying to bash or hurt, I'm just stating what I noticed.

How would you know if those are the only plugins I've made...

    Like I said
I am just saying what I saw.

EDIT: And for future reference. You might want to post everything you've done if you're hoping to land a job/position :)

Unfortunately I do not have the latest version source because the plugin is so old, towards the end I didn't commit the changes to git. The outdated source is here: https://github.com/ProjectTeam/SideKick You can still learn from what I have there. I know the source isn't perfect but like I said, it was a long time ago. The best way to grab the latest version source is by using a decompiler and grabbing the latest there then commit the changes to my github.

Edit: Looking back I wish I would of had the skillset I do now. I could of made it so much better and neater! :/
