[EDIT/FUN/SEC] VoxelSniper v5.019 - Flexible Long-Range In-Game Map Editor [BukkitDev]

    What link?

    There is a drain brush in the next version. I'll think about the water brush, I'm sure this would be useful for creating lakes and such. Right now I have the new VoxelPort on my head.

    Whenever I left-click it sets my voxel, whenever I right-click it sets the replace material. I can't seem to do anything else. I've tried using the wiki, but I didn't find anything- there's no noob troubleshooting section either. Clearly I'm doing something wrong, how can I fix it?

    No, but maybe it thinks I am since I use HeroSneak. I'm busy fixing some other crucial problem on the server, but I'll get back to you once I've tried it with HeroSneak toggled off.

    So I have an issue, I'm running VS on a completely default 740 bukkit server with monsters on and no other plugins. I can not access ANY brush developed after the erosion brush (says invalid brush). I also can't access the monster brush (/b m), it says the default 3 zombies no matter what i put in, and when i click it spawns invisible, unkillable, unburnable, flying zombies that murder me. Is there a version command? I've tried downloading it again from this forum link as well as the VS wiki link (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1838292/VoxelSniper.zip)

    I found a bug (or 3) with Voxel Snipper V4.616 (running CB 740).

    First off, reset your brushes, /d.
    Next find a furnace, chest or large chest, make sure you're close enough for the window to open.
    Now right click with the arrow in hand.
    It will kick you from the server with an "Internal server error."
    When you log back in, the furnace or chest will be gone (as expected).

    You should be able to reproduce this every time.

    That is not my fault, stop trying to open a container that is not present anymore.

    So it is an issue with bukkit/mc not checking if the container still exists before attempting to open it. I gotcha.

    Quick question: I used worldedit to clear out an giant cube of landscape about 5 blocks above bedrock. I copied over my city from a previous world I had, but now I want to terraform the edges. Unfortunately, my server struggles with hurling large balls of sand at the wall, so which tool(s) would you recommend to use on this roughly 50-60 block high wall?

    EDIT: It's a large ass wall, so efficiency is kinda necessary.

    just wanted to say, LOVE this Mod. quick question tho. is there any reason why when i try to use any of the extra brush's like /b oc /b sstairs it says No Such Brush? was just curious if this is something that by default is turned off?

    I recommend you re-watch those videos, specially this one:

    And afterwards forget about stacking sand, and use the Erosion brush in cognition with the Overlay brush.

    The wiki is updated before a release comes out, those brushes are in the next release. Which will come out today.

    It's a very fast tool, I could terraform that box you speak of into a canyon in no time ;)

    I don't like that EVERYTHING says the current version is 4.621 but all the downloads give you is v4.616.

    On another note, terraforming is much easier with VS nowdays. (started with just some land and water.)

    Well my server has been spitting out a ton of errors for some unknown reason so its kinda slow in registering actions, hopefully it gets sorted out soon.

    The newest release of VoxelSniper is out!

    Enjoy those new splatter brushes: I sure am. Some more exciting features for this tool are yet to come.

    Also do not miss out on the LiteSniper licensing option: this is a great low-power version of sniper you could consider giving to journeyman builders on your server.

    do i have to use world edit to select the chucks with a wooden axe or do i input the coordinates in the comand line?

    -.- Fu** WorldEdit VoxelSniper has nothing to do with it. It says the gunpowder produces 9 chunks at a time, and the selection brush can select a rectangle of chunks any size.

    Soooo, Lite sniper is giving me full sniper rights, not limited brushes. And I checked, I'm not server OP nor am I in the snipers.txt

    Also, i'm failing to see how the splatter and blob brushes would be useful, could you please make a video showing a usage of them?

    Also the lightning on warp in style murders you.

    Glad you like it ;)
    The Tree brush uses Notch's tree generating algrithems, and isn't undo-able yet, but trees are easy to clean up.
    Once I get some extra time, I will experiment with some other tree shapes and write up some VoxelTree algrithems :p

    Noticed an interesting bug. Was using the arrow to change some Stone into doublesteps... and they caught fire. Each time I changed a block it would light on fire for a few seconds (real fire, it hurt when I touched it). Did it after I logged out then back in. Had to do a server restart to get it to stop happening. No console errors.

    Love this plugin! Seriously guys, it's amazing what you've done with this, and what CAN be done with it.

    Yup. The blocks were changing correctly, but they also lit on fire. Basically the same as if I hit it with a flint after I changed the block.
