Don't know why you say that. I can click either link and go directly to the post or the website either one. The website barely started, but it is up.

Site works. The "post" is a private conversation that we dont have access to.

  4. Sorry, meant a post I'm not allowed to view and a site which isn't done yet enough to be used.

When the site is usable on the other hand I got quite a list of sites making money on other plugin-devs work and more, they´re all listed in my blocklist (to remove them from my google searches)

Thanks to all of the contributors. I think after reading more and more into this that I might've reacted in the same manner.

I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has contributed to Bukkit for all the very hard work involved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the amazing play time you have allowed my friends and I to have. It is sad to see all of you leave, but I will be forever grateful of everything you have selflessly given us.

    THANK YOU!

Hold up, hold up. Why is everyone so sure Bukkit isn't going to continue? I might just be missing something but, whose to say that once this Copyright or whatever blows over or is sorted out, Mojangs not going to continue the project with Dinerbone? Just because all the bukkit staff left, doesn't mean the project can't go on. Mojang will most likely use there own staff to update it and manage it. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Quick question: How many staff members are left on Bukkit?

Community is really large, I see no reason that new people will be recruited. Sorry to see these people go though, they did all of there work at 110%.

    Thanks

I've had my rants elsewhere - so all I can say is.
Guys, good luck out there. You proved yourself under fire, write those resume's with pride. I understand the situation, we have nothing but respect for you all. Even if some of us did get mouthy at you sometimes... we still knew you guys were awesome.

Indeed it is. I've got my eyes on it very closely and am waiting on the first dev builds to start playing with the API they build.

It's not just Bukkit people, too. It's people from almost every community. Bukkit, Spigot, Forge, Cauldron, CanaryMod, Spout, hMod, FTB, Technic, ATLauncher, and possibly others as well.

Their IRC channel is the largest channel on Esper with 700-1000 people at any given time. About 30 of them are Ops (i think project core devs) and another 20 have voice. I'm not real sure who's who yet as far as ranks/titles go in the project. But I know it's being run by Sk89q (maker of WorldGuard/WorldEdit) and Blood (no idea who this is; I think from another community). Even the OP of this thread, mbaxter, has joined Sponge and is a core dev.

Sponge really is going to be the next big thing that replaces Bukkit, but it's going to be so much better than Bukkit ever was. ^_^ So excited! \o/

I run servers for my friends.
Bukkit was just there for me, and I've had few problems through the years.

    Thank you, Bukkit.

    RIP.

i have always been a server owner and to hear this its sad it just cant be the end of bukkit without bukkit minecraft will die because of servers not having these awesome servers with plugins i hate mojang now why notch why please stop this EULA

It's not the EULA, dude. Maybe it's that for the last few years a company making $110 Million USD in profit actually owned bukkit but kept everyone in the dark about it, whilst honest, hardworking volunteers contributed their time and skills into keeping Minecraft a flourishing platform. Maybe it's how badly said company had managed the events of the last few weeks with little to no communication.

If I was a bukkit contributor I'd be looking for my pound of flesh right about now.
