[RPG] Heroes - 7/21 [1K]

    Wow. you guys have your hands full. I've always been impressed by your work. Can't wait to see what this will bring :) I know it's still very new in development, but I wonder how configurable it would be around other plugins lets take mcmmo or dwarfcraft for example that have a skills table as well. Would there be workable permissions nodes or would there be just too much clashing between them? I know mcmmo and dwarfcraft don't play nice with each other based on simple skill premises alone.

    Iknow you will probablt day no... But is there a way to download the mod that is on the server because it sounds alot better than mcMMO(no offense to the maker). If it is not a mod, it would be bomd if it was made one

    Our aim is to make this work with everything. But you won't need other MMO plugins after this ;)

    It's a plugin, in development atm though

    Oh ya hero lock aint working, i posted my error on the herolock thread
    Oh ya any estimate of how long it will take for the heroes to be posted. My way of doing it would be stop working on the other hero mods becasue they are all in the heroes one no point in making them separate

    @Kainzo Is it possible to make a supporter tag thingy. Like yours has links to all the mods , and im a big supporter(well i think i am), so ya having more of those tags out there might help

    We'll have a Heroes Admin / Heroes User - etc for the forums.
    In regards to Heroes RPG - it will not have all other mods in it - they will be separately for usability. We have a large team and some members are dedicated to just Heroes while others work on different projects. Our focus is Heroes RPG at this current time.

    great! :D sry if you hear this alot but im just realy exited for this:p can you say about how far you guys are from releasing the plugin?

    We will be having an internal release May 31st - within a few weeks (maybe more) will have a public release.

    Touche sir! I was finally was able to join the Test server, after figuring our what did what, killing a spider, killed by 5 more spiders and a player, then finally kissing my girlfriend good bye, dropping out of school, as well as telling my boss I'll be on a leave of absence starting sometime in June until I die, I eventually hopped back on my native server, smoking a cigarette feeling like I just had the best sex in my life. Needless to say, incredible potential for this plugins guys. Keep up the always amazing work. :)

    @Kainzo You guys should release a test version for other servers, that way more people are more likely to find tiny bugs that need fixing, so on so forth.

    The test server is now on Port 1337 of the same IP - Herocraft.zapto.org:1337

    You wouldn't happen to have a .jar I could use on my server to test it out with my guys would you?

    Just asking cause I have a good amount of plugins on my server and I would be able to test compatibilities with them if needed.

    We arent releasing this to the public until we're done internally testing it and then releasing it on Herocraft.

    We have more than enough testers necessary to get this underway - if you want to aid in the testing - feel free to visit Disposable.zapto.org:1337

    You should allow other servers to test it. That way bugs can be found faster. I would love to test out this mod, its like an even better expansion of mcmmo. It would actually require teamwork and strategy in the pvp fights on my server. Please consider releasing it to the public

    The date is agreed between Kainzo and the developers. We don't want the stress of supporting other servers yet. While it is ultimately up to Kainzo the date of releases needs to be agreed with us.

    A lot of time and effort has gone into this plugin - countless hours doing the coding, design and testing. We're nearing a public release - but it's still at best a month away.

    Thanks for the support - I will be updating the first post with the features of this plugin and what it can do for you. It /will/ be the most configurable RPG plugin in the world.

    I tried joining the public server but when i was on, everytime I talked it said that no one was around to hear me, when there was indeed a few people on.

    That's herochat (local chat) you'll need to use /ch o - to focus on off topic chat (our global chat)

    So I joined your server and tried heroes out and it's looking great. I can't understand why you don't put it in as a public beta release so people are able to point out bugs and such. Just warn them that it's like pre-alpha and that you're working on it still.

    Just my opinion. But seriously, it is looking really good.

    On the test server it seems that digging quickly with a stone shovel through dirt causes some lag. I also leveled up during the lag and somehow lost a stone axe. On Rogue path level 4

    we'll look into that - Also for any issues please use http://redmine.dthielke.com/projects/heroes to report them

    Because fundamentally - things are changing - if you want to help test out bugs - do so by visiting our Public Beta server (its up 24/7) and report the issues on Redmine (link in the first post)

    Cool. I'll join again, is there any class that needs more testing than another?

    I don't know if I mentioned this before, however I didn't see the main command listed in the /help menu. It was confusing to start off but after I received help and got going it became pretty fun. Is there any way to take the exp notice out of chat? A feature I'd like to see is one that allows you to change the minimum amount of xp gain for it to show up in the chat.

    /hero - it was on the signs at spawn - we've yet to integrate it in the /help menu
