I would like to know if anyone can make a plugin for me. The idea is, I would like a plugin that allows a player with permissions to browse thru available groups to pick from then use a command to pick it and become the group. So people start off as Citizens in my server and I am tired of promoting them to other groups and was wandering if you can make my ideal plugin for me. Example: I start as a citizen. Hmm I wanna be a Solider. Oh look no admin to promote me. So what we are gonna do is... /command browse. A list comes down... Code: BountyHunter WizTrainee Wizard Solider Thief Oh I like Solider, I'm gonna pick that. /command pick Solider Bing...[playername] has became a Solider. [Solider]Playername: Yeah it worked, beast mode. Done The /command is the custom command you choose to make. If you need more information about this please PM me. I would be more than greatful if you considered my offer. Or update Roles.
The Roles plugin does this, ask for a fork. It still works, sort of, on 733 for me, but it definitely needs an update
Thank you I will add a request to update roles. Then Does it work with permissions. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
I think it only works with GroupManager, which you should really use with roles, because Permissions doesn't support multiple groups (lame)
I am currently developing a similar plugin which takes the current player "level" into account and makes them able to levelup by typing /lvlup. But for leveling up they need a certain amount of items which are based on their current level and calculated thrugh a formula. If you could be a bit more specific what options exactly you need I may fork my own plugin and do a generalized version which enables you to choose a class/level.
Hey there all! So, I will be developing the plugin (updating it etc ...), but I can't get one thing. You guys want this plugin for Permissions (by TheYeti) ? Or just for GroupManager ?
It's not possible to code this for permissions at the moment, because Permissions does not has a setGroup() method. I also asked for that method in the Permissions Thread and Yeti said that it will be available with Permissions 3.0. Also like I said above I am currenlty coding something similar but it isn't quite finished yet: Here is the source: https://github.com/Silthus/LevelUP
