   Does anyone know how the skin system will work when mojang switches over to UUIDs? Will it be the UUID instead of the name stored on the skin server?

   You can get data from the mojang servers which contains the skin urls, player name, etc.

   I was kinda asking how it would be stored... as in if they will change it from <username>.png to <UUID>.png

   I think that the texture urls are random, and all the textures you upload are saved on the database, even old ones.
   Here a example:
