    Permissions 3.0
    Rcjrrcjr has been working quite hard on this upgrade to Permissions. However, it currently still suffers from a number of bugs. The most important of these which directly affects HeroChat is the non-functioning of prefixes and suffixes. There are less-than-pretty workarounds, but I'm refraining from fully supporting an update until Permissions 3.1 is released which should include a number of significant bug fixes. When this does occur, however, I have a build ready for you guys that should work. You can download it here. Again, I highly suggest not using this until Permissions 3.1 is released unless you really don't care about prefixes and such.

    See you when I get back!

    Is your config resetting when you make changes?
    If you make changes to the config while the server is running, you need to use the /ch reload command to make the changes stick. I wish this message wasn't necessary, but people only seem to read things in big, bold, red text (if at all).

    Have a problem? a feature request? Go here.
    HeroChat now has its very own redmine found here. If you have an issue or would like to suggest a new feature, I urge you to file it via redmine. I will be checking this much more often than this thread from here on out.

    TL;DS thread... too many pages to find this..

    I don't see a way to restrict specific commands with permissions... I can't find a definite list of the permissions to use. So is there list that has a link to that I can't find or does it simply does not exist? Let's say, I want my admin to be able to mute someone but not create a channel. Are these the only permissions for the plugin?
    Code:
    herochat.create
    herochat.color
    herochat.admin
    Or am I missing something completely? Or would this post be a "request" to have more definitive permissions?

    MiHo

    Yeah, I know this... but HeroChat doesn't support it... not with the {player} var... and there isn't any other documented in the wiki...

    What? {player} is replaced with the sender's DISPLAY name.

    A snippit from the source:
    Code:
    senderName = sender.getDisplayName();
    leader = leader.replace("{player}", senderName);
    I'll consider this a request.

    Is it possible to highlight if the message matches the conditions of the player. For example if somebody wrote my name, that this part will be highlighted?

    Would it be possible to have aliases for world names? My world names are named with details like pvp-nether-4, not the best prefix for the chat :p

  9. Offline

    DThielke

    I'll consider adding both of these features in the future. Regarding the worlds question, depending on how you're using the tag, you could always hardcode the format of a channel to include whatever text you want.

    Hmmm, the download link is broken :( And on the mediafire link is only the 4.10.1.

    A (not important) feature would be, that it place automatically a space between the group- and userprefix. Maybe you could make it conditional:
    Code:
    {prefix}{ifset|prefix|" "|}{groupprefix}
    Fabian

    PS: Thanks you added groupprefix support.

    This is something to ask the developer of EpicZones. I am not familiar with his implementation.

    You could just add a space to the individual prefixes, ie. 'coolguy ' rather than 'coolguy'.

    Also, the download link is fixed again. Sorry - was in the middle of changing hosts.

    Yeah, download link is definitely broken. Keeps sending me to 'download.php', which is coincidentally the same thing CraftBukkitUpToDate keeps downloading whenever it detects a new HeroChat update.

    Rename download.php to “HeroChar.jar” or open it with a zipper. For me it worked with Firefox 4 and wget.

    Hmmm, found a bug (or maybe misconfigured):
    If your message string is:
    Code:
    […]{prefix}{groupprefix}[…]
    And your userprefix is empty it will replace the prefix with the groupprefix. Is it possible to get the users prefix?

    Thank you! (I got the "Admin" prefix to work but not the color and text for "chat" and nickname etc.)

    Your example is a little unclear. Could you format an example message using the forum colors to show what exactly you want?

    Hi I am trying to make my text white. Besides the tag "Admin", I would like the rest of the text to be white. And instead of "G", I would like it to be "chat". :)
    The example I typed is an example of what the format of the text would look like if I was to say hi.

    DThielke

    Err, I upon quoting your message I realized you actually had some white text there.

    First of all, change the nickname of the channel you're modifying to "chat". Then, change the message format to "[{nick}]{prefix}&f{player}: " and your group prefix to "&4[Admin]".

    Edit: forgot to put the brackets around {nick}.

    Okay thanks sorry to ask, but I am not sure, where do I exactly my messege format? "[{nick}]{prefix}&f{player}: "

    Thank you and sorry if this is causing any inconvenience!
