    That is because you did not use capital letters. If you type 'coal' it looks for all names in the list that have coal in the name. If you type 'Coal' it looks at the specfic item 'Coal'. It is case sensitive. 'stone' is similar - it turns up Cobblestone and MossStone and Stone as options. That way, if you arent sure of the name of an item (and are too foolish to use /list), you can guess and the plugin will try and figure out what you mean. Its a feature, not an error ;P

    Also, for the record, I would really prefer if this plugin did NOT use ID tags. An option would be ok, but please dont make that the only method.

    Why? Because then you cant use colored wool or dyes because they all use the same ID# (with a different damage value). Plus, its a PITA to constantly have to look up all these numbers when you want something, when you can just type 'BrownWool' or something.

    Oh, and please add a way to buy/sell different kinds of wood, if possible. I tried adding Birch & Pine to the shops from my hand, and they all add it as just 'Wood', and when you buy it back you just get the standard Wood, not Birch or Pine if thats what you added. Also, you have 'Planks' and 'BirchPlanks' as items, which are the same thing apparently.

    This is a bug if it's not working. It should add as Birch and Pine.

    Since the new Recommended Build for Bukkit is out (as of not very long ago at all, like an hour or something) I have updated my server and I'm posting on the threads for all the plug ins I use to let people know how the plug ins are doing. I won't be able to fully test everything (it is almost midnight my time and I need to sleep :p) but I figure this way we can at least get things started :)

    In the logs, here is all I have (after just firing up the server) for LocalShops:
    Code:
    2011-04-08 07:45:22 [INFO] LocalShops: iConomy found.
    2011-04-08 07:45:22 [INFO] LocalShops: Loading shop GeneralStore
    2011-04-08 07:45:22 [INFO] LocalShops: Loaded 1 shop(s).
    2011-04-08 07:45:22 [INFO] LocalShops: version 2.2.1 is enabled!
    ...{other plug ins loading up here}
    2011-04-08 07:45:22 [INFO] LocalShops: Attached to Permissions
    I have set up a General Store for my server and here's some tests from there:
    -Entering the area I had marked off as the general store still gives me "[Shop] You have entered the shop GeneralStore" so that's a good sign
    -/shop list seems to give all the items that are supposed to be for buy/sell at the shop, so that's a good sign
    -/shop list buy gives the items and their prices (which, I'll admit, I don't remember just what I had put in but they sure seem to be like they were before the bukkit update, so that's a good sign)

    So, some basic testing shows that LocalShops still seems to be working just fine under the newest RB of Bukkit (#670.) Hopefully someone else can test it a bit more to be sure :)

    Note: This is what the log says about the Bukkit version, for those who want to know: 2011-04-08 07:45:20 [INFO] This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-646-gb61ef8c-b670jnks (MC: 1.4)

    Hi, i have recently installed your plugin on my server and it works great, but I have one problem, it seems that only OP players can use the command /shop select, all of the players that arnt OP'ed cant use that command, I have the nodes set in the permissions world file and those affected players can buy and sell from shops without any error. Could you please reply with the correct permissions node to input into the world file.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)[diamondore]

    Amazing mod, just have a problem that it seems nobody can use the commands, it claims that the mod loads correctly on server launch and I get no errors, permissions are setup correctly, but whenever i /shop *command*, it says it does not exist. The shop commands are usable for default players, so far all the players on my servers are admins so this shouldn't pose and issue because their permissions are '*'

    Hey. When I type /shop select (or any other command) it just says Unknown console command. I can even delete localshops.jar without stopping the server (meaning it's not being used).. anyone know of this problem?

    I have a problem with /shop create.

    Versions:
    Localshops 2.2.1
    Permissions 2.5.5
    iConomy 4.6.5
    Bukkit #617

    Error:
    Regular players on the server trying to do the /shop create are given the error that the max size is 30x10x30 while there selection is well within the acceptable size.

    Attempts to fix it:
    Normal users promoted to OP with /op <person>
    Tried to redownload normal localshops with command /shop AND the alternative /lshop.
    Tried older version 2.2 which did create a shop for users but gave a internal error message yet shop was created with default sizes.
    Tried enlarging max size in setup file.
    Tried delete entire folder so it would remake it (with both newly downloaded /shop and /lshop versions)
    Checked the server log files to see if there was any other reason. But there was none.

    Permissions config regarding localshops:
    http://pastie.org/1771585

    When it does work properly:
    If I give a normal user -'localshops.admin' then he can create the shop but also has
    of course access to everything. Not an option for me.

    Great mod ;-)

    Mod says it's loaded yet it doesn't do anything at all when you type /shop, just says it's an unrecognized command...

    Edit: Seems as though I installed the /lshop version instead of the /shop version... /sigh

    You know what would make this plugin awesome? Settings files created for each shop on the server that can be edited to make mass changes to shops.

    Also, has anyone come up with a balanced price list for all items yet? I was going to sit down with a spreadsheet and do a bunch of math tonight but thought I'd ask if someone has already done it, rather than reinvent the wheel.

    Sorry when this has already been mentioned, but when creating a shop with infinite money, customers can only sell items when there is at least one of it in the shop stock. That doesn't make much sense imho. :) Or am I doing something wrong?

    Correction: You can only set sell when there is at least one item, selling works without stocks.

    I'd love to see something like that. As it stands, entering the commands one by one is tedious. Also, if you happen to work on that spreadsheet, would you mind sharing it? Right now we've got a pretty basic server shop running and I'm not at all confident in the pricing since it's something I slapped together in a few hours. I would love to see something with a bit more staying power based on the economy.

    Would it be possible to add the ability for shops to have spaces in the names? I run an RPGish server and I'd like to name some of the server shops with creative names, but having them all jumbled together just doesn't look as good.

    You can more easily add items to shops by using Excel. Like so:

    [IMG]

    The last column is achieved using the forumula:

    Code:
    =B2&":"&C2&"="&D2&":"&E2&","&F2&":"&G2&",0:0"
    When you're done, copy the last column (minus the header of course) and paste it in the shop file. This should work on all versions of Excel. Also, the last "0:0" should technically have an input as well but... I'm not sure what it refers to!

    Also I should clarify that the SELL column refers to the prices the shop SELLS items for, and the BUY column refers to prices it will BUY items for

    Yep, I figured that out by looking at your screenshot. I set up my basic document in Google Docs and I'm editing it now with no problems. I'm curious about the economy on your server and how you allow your visitors to spend money/make money. I'd like to avoid having an inflated economy where items cost hundreds of thousands of integer values if possible.

    I wouldn't take too much inspiration from my economy, as its completely untested. I shall enlighten you regardless. I have the shop set up so people can sell resources they gather and buy resources that they either can't get (such as ice blocks and leaf blocks) or which are, in my opinion, too difficult to get compared to their utility (like dyed wool and moss stone). I started off with the premise that the easiest possible to get block, cobblestone, was worth 1 coin, and worked my way up from there. I also set it up so the shop won't buy dirt, wood, logs, or saplings, so as to not encourage people to deforest and dig up large areas of the world for easy money, as it would look ugly (though they can dig up as much stone as they want, as its not visible from the surface)

    I also have a problem with /shop create command

    Versions:
    Localshops 2.2.1
    GroupManager v1.0 alpha-5
    iConomy 5.0
    Bukkit #670

    Error:
    Regular players on the server trying to do the /shop create are given the error that the max size is 30x10x30 while there selection is well within the acceptable size.

    One of my users is getting the "max shop size is 50x50x50" error, although the area he's trying to set is 3x5x3 (or something else consideribly smaller than 50x50x50. Any ideas? We're using CB617 and the LocalShops 2.2.1.

    Also, the items.text is missing wood logs;

    CoalOre=16
    Wood=17
    Leaves=18,0

    Needs to be replaced with:

    CoalOre=16
    Wood=17,0
    Redwood=17,1
    Birch=17,2
    Leaves=18,0

    Done the testing, it works fine with these new values. Kudos to Gewwy for noticing that LS didn't support various log types!
