    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.

    • PVP Enhancements
      • Server with a strong PVP aspect will find Towny's grouping of players to be invaluable.

    Stop your server, move your server.log out of the craftbukkit directory. Start your server, let it load completely, then stop it. A new server.log will be created, please upload it to http://pastie.org or http://pastebin.com and post the link here.

    Looks fine to me, might be something with spigot. Just in case, pastebin.com your chatconfig.yml and your channels.yml files please.

    You took out a bunch of the channel_formats from the chatconfig.yml and some channels from the channels.yml. Some of that stuff is required for the file to parse properly.

    You will need to re-add them. In order to not let players use those channels, just don't give them the permission node required for it. Make sure you remove them from your permission file as well as the townyperms.yml.

    What parts of 0.84.0.0 do not work with Minecraft 1.6.2?
    Does at least the plugin run and main features function?

    All of it works fine. Towny doesn't use any NMS/CB code and therefore does not break between bukkit builds.

    I wanna know what causes this.
    I am building a sort of park area in the town homeblock (chunk).
    I have to reload multiple times to get plugins with custom items to build with. (I use spout)
    The third time I reload, the server crashes, forcing me to restart the server. And guess what? The homeblock is gone, but nothing else. Shop plots still have log borders. There's still pathways around. Even the tropishop stood in place, and a ton of things were built on it.

    Does anyone know how to stop the homeblock destroyed after restart?

    This sounds like an issue on your server with /reload. You should never use that command because it can do bad things.

    Towny 0.84.0.0 supports 1.6.2

    hmm can you help me with a bug ? That it said [Towny] Not allowed to switch(build , destroy )in the wild.

    Give the players towny.wild.* in your permission plugin.

    Does anyone know what I can do if I run bukkit 1.5.2-R1.0 and default players can destroy in the town and even in town spawn? I've set the config.yml file to use permissions and I've also set the config.yml so default players shouldn't be able to destroy in the town.

    It's fixed now :)

    hmm... i dont understand why town , essentials count them as a user and save them to user profile. Put those towns on /baltop

    I seem to be having a problem with commands and permissions. I have given my players the permission to do basically everything with towns, but when trying commands such as /town claim it says they have no access. Likewise, when I (as op) use this command it says this in chat "Error: Player not found" when I run any command with /town in front of it. Any reason why this happens?

    Hey. I'm making a server reset for my server, and one of the main features is the 3 nations. I want players to join one of the nations by force and I only want people to make a town if they're in a nation. Is that possible or could it be in the nearest future? If not, do you know a plugin which does this kind of thing? But has almost the same features as towny?

    Towny cannot force the towns that are created to join a nation, you can push towns to join one of the nations by using the plot-bonus given to towns in a nation. Or you could just make it a rule.

    And you could remove the permission node to leave a nation.

    I run my Towny with the mysql option.

    I was wondering if anyone else that uses the mysql option has a working php/mysql script to display a list of towns and their mayors with avatars and a list of residents with avatars for each town?
