I have used two hosts in the past. I used "Server Craft" for a short period of time. But I hated I didn't have full access to my server, so then I switched to "ThrustVPS". Then I shut down my server for a few months.

I'm looking for something I have full access to. I have a $50/month budget and I would appreciate it if I could get some help with this decision, oh and it must be Linux CentOS. Thanks. :)

  2. use craftinghost. i use it and im running on 3gb ram, linux centos, and have 5 worlds, 25 plugins, and ive got 10-15 players on with no lag and were paying $25 a month. also, you have full file access, a website powered by apache, spacebukkit webpanel (really good for multiple worlds), AND it has mysql, 99.9% uptime. and for $44 you get 6gb ram, 7gb burst ram, 42gb ssd storage, and for $55, you get 8gb ram, and 10gb burst ram, and 56gb ssd storage. this all comes with some other side features, but i really like them.

You might want to try out RAMNode.

Kaaos-Gaming. The admins are bukkit members and they have great prices.

Isn't this advertisement a conflict of interest, and thus an unfair advantage? This is the exact reason bukkit should never have a hosting section. People are going to be begging to become bukkit staff just so they have some kind of "social authority" in the community and abuse it for monetary gain. Not cool/unfair advantage.

Errm what? I'm stating the admins on Kaaos Gaming are Bukkit members. This has nothing to do with "social authority".

After checking that place out, the prices looked pretty good and I was wondering if you knew if I would be able to run a TeamSpeak with their Diamond package.

You should check out minecrafted.net; I really like their services, cheap prices, they don't oversell, and its no nonsense. You don't get a custom cpanel like creeperhost (or whatever their name is). There aren't the fancy graphics that mcprohosting or others have, but its all I need to operate my server. They do have shared hosting and just opened VPS hosting again at $15/2GB with 2x vCPU (4x is $4/month more)...but they also have a dedicated box starting at $59/month (technically its $177/quarterly) which I'd really like to take advantage of if I had a budget closer to yours. Currently, I use their shared hosting and I paid $12/month for 3GB. I'll be upgrading using their summer promo to the 4GB plan for $12/month (quarterly) when my other service expires.

I am not a representative and I've only used a few shared hosts before, so take this with a grain of salt. I've used exodushosting, avante, beastnode, and now minecrafted. Hope that helps.

  11. i submitted a ticket to them and they setup a teamspeak server for me. i never really tested it out, but it was no extra charge. and my server had no problems with it :)
