What is the average amount of time it takes for a plugin to get approved?

I submitted my first plugin yesterday, and it still hasn't been approved. It is following proper format.
I have not received any PM on bukkitdev.

    The plugin is here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/pegasus/
I've been updating it a lot during it's approval process, hopefully that won't have any effect on it...

Sorry to have to make another one of these.

Normally we approve a file on average 18 hours after submission. However, due to the rush on files that happens during every new Minecraft release we are averaging 27 hours per file.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Is this related to file approval to?

If so, this seems awfully wrong to me, in the last days I've seen around 5 file approvals. I have personally been waiting for approval for around 72 hours now, for one of my own files.
When I check these forums I often see 3-4 BukkitDev staff online, so this lack of file approval seems odd to me.

This is not meant offensive, I'm just becoming really frustrated..

A suggestion would be to allow un-approved files, but give a warning to the user who is about to download the file.

But you should know that you're not the only one in the queue. And due the the recent update developers are uploading files, then re-uploading for the 1.6.2 update. And on top of that 3-4 BukkitDev staff versus thousands of uploads, obviously it will take some time.

I can't speak for the others but me being online on the forum just means I have the page open in a tab and that my PC is on, 95% of the time I'll be working on something else.

At least BukkitDev hasn't gone over a week. Think about it. Your job. It's not gonna be approved within a day or two. :D

Occasionally I use my phone/tablet to browse the forums too. Being online doesn't mean working on the queue.

    I like what he said.

BukkitDev Staff don't always have to be working on the queue. It is voluntary work!

So true. It's also somewhat bigger right now because some members of staff (including me) are on holidays. I'll be back soon though!

:D BukkitDev members need a break too! :) I would absolutely hate having to deal with some of the negative feedback you guys get. I feel a bit bad for you, but respect you still.

But there's no plugins being approved at all, that's exactly why the queue is building up ..

I think that the download button should still bring you to the last approved file but have it so when you look at the files page you can see unapproved files, and just have a warning beside it. That way everyone can still download them they're just not shown on the home page of the plugin

Consider the scenario where 2 files are uploaded whenever 1 is approved.
