How do you add admins?

I just made a server and i don't know how to make other classes stuff like admins and etc. Can you tell me how?

 

add their names (one per line) into ops.txt on use "op <name>" in server console.

 

I know how to make ops, i just don't know how to make admins.

 

Theres a plugin called "Permissions". Its hard to use at first but you'll eventually learn. You can try GroupManager by AnjoCaido but either way they're both hard to start off with. I personally chose Permissions and I highly recommend Permissions. I've been using it for a while and once you get the hang of it its pretty easy. I haven't used Group Manager. If you have further questions regarding Permissions then talk to me via Conversations I think I might have the time to help you.

 

base server has no admins, you have to use a plugin for that and you havent stated you use one.

wait.. So you do not use permissions and want admins, not ops. Why? OPs are plugins in the sens of power.

 

I just want there to be more stuff so i can be admin and my friend something less. So i can undo stuff if he gets all griefy.

 

Haha, "griefy"! Perhaps all you need is the built-in, op-limited, /ban command?

Seriously, though, even with Permissions and an "admin" group, you don't get an "undo" ability.
You can use something like WorldEdit and use the snapshots restore feature to "undo" grief'ed areas.
But it requires that you have some semi-regular backups. Now, if by "undo" you just mean "rebuild",
again, all you need to be is "op", and you can /give yourself whatever you need to fix things.

 

BigBrother is also great for undoing griefing And hourly backups of the world+world edits /snap and /restore commands are a big help if BB fails.
