In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

    Hey

I an admin on one of the servers at ourforums.net (Same as andret), and I am thinking of doing some patches to this plugin if I have time for it, but Andret said that the code on Github is outdated? If thats right, could you please upload the newest code? Thanks :)

The newest code can always be found at https://github.com/contex/AuthDB.

When comes the Woltlab Burning Board support? :O

  7. Offline

    contex

We've had problems installing Woltlab, it reports several of errors during installation, so untill we get that fixed there will be no support for Woltlab. We are working on fixing it as fast as we can though :)

Can you implement a feature for multiple databases? For example, I want it so, when a user registers from the game, they will be registered on both the website and the forum. (website is running drupal and forum is on phpBB)

EDIT: Also, can you fix the wiki so it lists which scripts are supported? There is a link on the wiki, but there is no page.

Hmmmm... maybe, but that's getting a little fancy. :p
You could just use a bridge found around the net to connect both together.
What version of Drupal are you using? If you have Drupal 6.x: http://drupal.org/project/phpbbforum

All the scripts currently supported are listed in the original post. We haven't finished any others beyond those yet.

Mmmm, I will look into it and see how it goes.

    Thanks :)

Oh, and do you have any idea why my server lags whenever someone logs in (/login)?

EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.

Is the server actually lagging as in other players freeze or just the delay in the login success response you get after using /login ?
The time it takes for your /login to process depends on the connection between your CraftBukkit server and the MySQL server.

It depends on your MySQL server, where is it located (localhost, remote)? If remote, what's the ping to it from your minecraft server. There is alot that could impact the performance, more info please :)

We would appricate that, do you perhaps have Skype? If so add contexmoh, if not just PM me :).

Could you add group support ?
To allow some players from specifig group in a forum and set Permissions according to it.

Sure, this could probably be added. We could add a setting in the config.yml for groups: where you specify the group names exactly like we have with the whitelist and then only those groups can get in. Is that what you are looking for? Are you still wanting them to login or just bypass the login completely if their username matches the group name?

Oh, we said the gitHub code was out of date, but then it's fine. And we will not use it commerccially, just for our own use and share it here.

Actually it is some more futures we want, for example we want more controll over what permissions users that have not logged in can have. As far as I now after a brief talk with Andret, we either have to turn it on or of, but we want to let out users use the chat, walk around, use minecarts and so on. Is that on your to do list?

We have those features planned already. We started working on them a little bit so that you could enable/disable each guest protection feature.

Cool, then I will save myself a lot of time. Do you have any rough estimate on when it will come?

And another cool thing if these options will be available, rather than typing /login username password, could you make it to work like
    >/login username
    AuthDB>Please enter password for username:

Just like using the MySQL client from the commandline. It is a bit boring when you forget to hit / and the password will be sent to the chat in clear text.

That's something we can look into as well. I'll add it to the to-do list and we'll see what we can do. :)

This is great, however my users don't seem to be able to read, and log in and log out 100 times, eventually wiping their inventories clean.

If you can make it so that users know to login, then it'll be great.

Also, I would like my users to still be able to chat when they aren't logged in.

    More customizability, PLEASE :)

I am not sure what you are trying to say. It currently greets the user as a guest or user and tells them what to do when they enter the server. We could add something that says to login when they try a command. I am unsure as to how they are managing to wipe their inventory though.

We will be adding guest protection options in an upcoming release along with more protection features.

I like that idea about when they try to talk/command, to respond with Please /login or /register!

  24. Offline

    Wulfspider

Sure, is that what you were talking about before? That's a planned feature for the next major release.
We'll try to figure out why they were losing their inventory from logging in multiple times.

    Xeronix

Alright, well, I was more asking if there could be an option to allow players to still talk, but either would work :p

  26. Offline

    Wulfspider

Yes, we will be adding options to enable/disable the guest protections such as chatting. Right now, the only other way to disable the protections is by using register: force: false.

Are you connecting to a remote MySQL server? Have you checked that your username and password are correct and are allowed to connect to that server if it is remote?

You can test it with this: http://www.craftfire.com/tool/mysql/ if you'd like. It should list if it was successful and list any tables in there.

Is your server on the same location(VPS/Dedicated) as your forum/cms?
