A while ago I posted a thread about this but no one seemed to notice for a long time.

Anyway, I have a server all set up and ready to go, except it needs to be port forwarded. I know how to port forward except, with my Netgear router, I cannot seem to find anywhere where it says "Port forwarding" or anything to do with it.

    Can I get some help?

Look for the option of setting DMZ mode to your router ip. So if your router ip is "192.168.0.12" you would set the dmz to 12. If it was 192.168.0.5, you would set dmz to 5.

If your unsure of your IP, goto start, run, type in "cmd", press enter, command prompt should comp up. From there type ipconfig and look and see what your router IP is.

After that, login. Default is admin and the password is password. Click advanced and it should be under there.

Yeah but its not. What else would it be under?

But what does this have to do with finding the port forward settings?

DMZ is an option for people that run servers, it makes it so it opens all possible ports for your specific router IP so that you dont have to set up port forwarding for a bunch of different servers that you run.

yep i believe so :) All you have to do is add the ports 25565 to 25566 (or whatever you want your port to be, i use 1337 for mine)

Which Ip is, "7. Under the Send to LAN server field, enter the IP address of the PC or Server on your LAN which will receive the inbound or outbound traffic covered by this rule. " is this?

Edit: The ip4 thing or the gateway?

i think what that is wanting is for you to enter your LAN IP in that field. Like my router ip for me is 192.168.0.10

Yours will be 192.168.0.* where star is the specific number your router has given you. Open up command prompt and type " ipconfig" and look to see what yours is, then enter it in that field that you were talking about. What this does is it knows to open the ports for YOUR router ip and not your other family members using the same internet.
