Over 100,000 servers have used Buycraft over the last 2 years.
What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?
Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!
How will my players use Buycraft?
After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership.
What can I sell to my users, and how?
Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. All these different options will take the worry out of funding your Minecraft server.
Some of the awesome features available:
    • Create donation packages which can reward your players with anything you imagine.
    • Setup advanced packages for memberships ranks, with support for automatic Paypal subscriptions.
    • Many Payment gateways supported! (Paypal, Stripe, Google Wallet, Paymentwall, 2Checkout, Onebip, Paygol, Payza, and Coinbase.)
    • Coupon codes to offer discounts to your players.
    • Run promotional sales to gain attention to certain donation packages.
    • Cumulative ranking to enable your players to upgrade their ranks.
    • Custom variables to offer advanced customisation of your packages.
    • Detailed donation statistics to see how well your server is performing.
    • Multiple webstores per account, with the ability to create sub accounts for your other moderators/administrators on your server.
    • Advanced fraud protection to prevent chargebacks.
    • Webstores available in over 8 languages.
    • You can change your webstore theme and even integrate it into your own website.
    • Everything is hosted by us, resulting in a hassle free and inexpensive way to run your own webstore! The Buycraft platform is updated regularly with many new features added each month.

Love the plugin, nice and simple! A feature i would die to see is the ability to host the webstore yourself!

  5. If you're running Tekkit, please stick with Buycraft 4.7 and disable "autoUpdate" in the settings.conf file.

More detailed reporting would be nice (even if you only broke it down by category).

Would also be helpful to be able to control the order packages are displayed. Might be just the theme i'm using that doesn't do this, since I can re-arrange them. But in the "dark" theme, they appear in whatever order they feel like.

This is not going to happen, as has been said multiple times by lmc, and stated in the FAQ-section in the knowledge base.

They actually have code in Buycraft that you can put on your own website, so your users never leave your webpage to buy.

It's under "Website Integration" when you login to your Buycraft account.

Tekkit Lite has just been released, dropping Bukkit support und purely using the Forge API instead.

With Tekkit "Classic" pretty much dead, many of the existing Tekkit servers, who rely on Buycraft to keep their servers running, will probably upgrade to Tekkit Lite.

Are there any plans to get Buycraft working with Forge? (Tekkit Lite comes bundled with a Forge mod called ForgeEssentials, which offers permissions for Forge)

Not only Tekkit, but other mod packs such as the popular Feed The Beast modpack also use Forge and include Forge essentials.

  10. Which Bukkit version is TekkitLite running on? Buycraft 4.7 will work fine if it is Bukkit 1.2.5.

TekkitLite scraps Bukkit support. It's all Forge now.

    Suggestion, I'd like to be able to add a divider of some sort. Example;
I have a "Ranks" Category with packages in it.
    I'd like to split up the ranks between "Ranks" and "Donor Ranks" So It would look as so;
    [Ranks]
    Player
    Member
    Mayor
    [Donor Ranks]
    Coal
    Iron
    Etc...
Something like that with the name between the '[]' configurable of course. This would be great for orginzing.

Since we can change the layout of the web store, it would be awesome to be able to translate it in another language. I would like to translate it in French and you could maybe use it as a reference for others.

A feature I would like to see if the ability to prevent certain permission groups from using the buycraft commands.

My server works on a system where a person is sponsored by another player who has already beed sponsored. A sponsored player is then permitted to play on the server as normal. This system is used to prevent griefers getting build rights on our server, and has worked well for over 2 years.
A default player has no build rights on the server. The problem is, if they donate, they get the benefits of our donator ranks, but still can not build.

So by removing their ability to see the buycraft information, it should prevent them from being able to donate.

due to some recent attacks, we've had to lock down our entire box pretty hard.

I'm seeing these in the logs. It is HARD locking the server if anyone uses /buy 1 (or whatever the package is)

TEMP FIX: I've disabled the buy command.

2013-01-06 11:10:15 [SEVERE] [Buycraft] HTTP request failed due to unknown host.
2013-01-06 11:10:15 [SEVERE] [Buycraft] Could not generate a shortened URL.

199.83.50.132 buycraft.net <-- I added this to the hosts file and its still happening

Thoughts and do you have the actual ip that its trying to connect to? I'll need to add this to our HOSTS file I believe.

This is quite urgent since it is causing the server to lock up.

I know this, but the guy was talking about hosting the store. That's different than embedding/integrating it. Doesn't change the fact these features are awesome though.

  20. It will be trying to connect to is.gd.
That is the URL shortener we use.

It would be awesome to change the price of a package for each payment gateway. Since every mobile payment is giving us less money, I would like to charge more.

It shouldn't take very long at all. What are you having problems with?

Well mostly the setting up of the webpage, and several confusions about were all my data and all the commands I inputed went. It also took me several times to simply register. The plugin itself seems seemless.

The web interface and extra services provided for premium users are amazing. I've never had any problems with Buycraft and I find it very easy to use.
