I had some errors setting up eclipse and maven long ago.
I switched to SpringSource Tool Suite. It has an embedded maven and works out of the box afaik.

But i can't find bukkit 451 when i use the above mentioned code. I just deleted the repository and use an artifactory generated settings.xml, so i can get the actual snapshot of bukkit.
    Works like a charm :D

Good tutorial for ppl who never worked with maven before!!

Hey, even though this is an old post, its still working, sorta.
    but i get 1 error:

when i use the command mvn i get this:
"Error: Could not find or load main class org.codehaus.plexus.classworlds.launche
    r.Launcher"
    javac and java works.
Anyone who knows a fix for this?

To anyone having problems with Maven,.... I feel your pain. I had created the variables (Windows XP) under User Variables. Didn't work, so I created the M2_HOME and JAVA_HOME in System Variables. That did the trick. I also created the PATH variable in User Variables and seperated the Maven and Java parts with semi-colons (;).

I just noticed... oh well, looks like I'll just post this not-so-useful information somewhere else... (the variable stuff)
