    For those using MoreMaterials, this is possible using the following config:
    Code:
    RewardTable:
      Cow:
        Drops:
        - flint.0.1024:1-1:100
    
    The material has to be flint and the material IDs start at 1024 and go up from there.


    Yeah, another person caught this and reported the bug as issue#94. It's already fixed in the dev releases.

    Thanks for reporting back on your findings.

    Need more details on what exactly isn't working.

    So what I want to do is use this mod to have all monsters drop emerald. This would be my servers economy and people would use emeralds to trade for items. I installed ecoCreature with vault, added permissions to PermissionsBukkit. When I did this for the first time i edited the cow and it worked but when I edited the monsters it stopped working all together. I figured I coded wrong so I re-installed the plugin and traced my steps but when I only edited the cow the same way I did before it didn't work. I haven't installed any new plugins and it worked with my current plugins so Im not sure why it isn't working.

    Have you considered using Gringotts? It's an emerald-based econ plugin. You can then just leave the coin amounts in the ecoCreature config and Vault will automagically translate those into Gringotts emeralds.

    Edit: Oh, and yeah, Vault supports Gringotts of course.

    I had looked into Gringotts but had no clue that vault would automatically translate ecoCreatur's money into Gringotts emeralds. I will attempt this, thank you so much!

    notice that sometimes when player kills a zombie the zombie would spawn 3 other zombies xD any idea whats causing this? also whats that zombie book thing setting for?

    Yeah, the default config comes with something named ZombieApocalypse. Just comment that out for Zombie drops.

    The zombie book thing is just an example of how you can make custom written book drops.

    so the zombies spawning after killing them is from this?

    this is what happens I killed a zombie, as soon as he dies an other spawns to replace him , this happens 3 times in a row

    Yeah, it's an example of how you can drop more than just materials. Just comment it out or delete it out of the config if you don't want it.

    I would also be curious if it works.

    Make sure you have the following set to false in default.yml:

    I want the rewards in the arena, I just don't understand why it says "You slayed mob using a stick" when it should say: "You are awarded money for slaying a mob".

    Ah, ok.

    If a reward outcome, by chance, doesn't have any coin, that is the default message. If you would rather *not* display those types of messages, set this option in the config to false:

    Is there a way to make ecocreature handle all item/xp dropping (including those where the monster is not killed by a player). I have been messing with the config file, and if there is a way, for some reason I cannot figure it out.

    Yeah, that feature is not present. The plugin is, by design, limited to killed entities.

    Alright thank you for your help. I guess I am going to have to find another plugin and translate my setup.

    It is a shame due to the stability and quality of this plugin compared to the alternatives.

    i am trying to set up the config http://pastie.org/5666785 so monsters that spawn from mobspawners dont drop anything but xp can you help me? I remember I got this working long time ago. thats my config file idk what I did wrong

    I saw your ticket on github and made a comment that I need the entire default.yml in case there are some mob configs that are causing issues.

    A bit more editing work but possible. Just set the percent chance to 100.

    For example:
    Code:
      Cow:
        Drops:
        - leather:2:100
        - raw beef:1-3:100
        Coin_Minimum: 0.1
        Coin_Maximum: 2.5
        Coin_Percent: 100.0
    
    This has a 100% chance of dropping 0 to 2 leather.
    This has a 100% chance of dropping 1 to 3 raw beef.
    This has a 100% chance of dropping 0.1 to 2.5 coin.

    I keep having this weird bug where zombies sometimes split in two when you kill them, and when I disable EcoCreatures it stops. Is this intended or am I doing something wrong?

    That's probably left over from the default example config showing how you can drop mobs.

    Just comment out or delete the ZombieApocalypse from the Zombie entry:

        # delete or comment out below line
        - ZombieApocalypse

    If you have Enderman setup with drops in the ecoCreature config, it will follow those rules instead of the default Minecraft rules. Otherwise, the default Minecraft rules apply.
