Plugin category: Fun Suggested name: Live Cam Before you read: THIS IS NOT THE SAME IDEA AS DYNMAP READ BEFORE POSTING What I want: I have been recently thinking about good plugins and as I run my own website, as well as many other minecraft server owners do, I came up with this amazing idea. I am not good with coding at all so I do not know if this is possible. So basically, what this is like is a players view, without the GUI and it will show a live view of whatever you have it looking at. Now this live view could be a webserver or hooked up to your own website such as "serverip:8123" (not sure if that is the right port but you get the idea) Now when you hook this up it will be a live view so you can look at players running around or anything. Additional Idea: I also thought it would be cool that in the webserver, you could make the camera move around or make it follow players view from a menu you could put in. Like select a player and follow their view. Ideas for commands: /livecam : /lv /lv create [camera] /lv view [camera] /lv delete [camera] /lv move [camera] /lv help /lv commands /lv version Ideas for permissions: livecam.admin livecam.view When I'd like it by: I do not mind. If you can do it, that is amazing.
That is even more awesome. Thanks but I meant a version of this that will be viewable from a website or webserver
This is possible but with require of a client mod like SirTyler said and alottt of bandwidth for multiple player live streams
It is very so possible in vanilla minecraft. Dynamic Map does it but with a map and updates it constantly without much lag other than the file size of the map images. Making this seems somewhat easier than Dyn Map
No You can not take a player's view and show it on the web without some sort of client mod. The way you are saying it is you could (in theory) view the map chunk they were at, however you could not actually view the player without some very heavy work done on the server side with this path (basically create a non-interactive minecraft to be watched through).
